Thrive Causemetics Liquid Lash Extensions Mascara

thrive causemetics mascara

I started using this mascara earlier this year, and I haven’t stopped. I’ve recommended it to friends who have purchased it and fell in love. I honestly just love everything about Thrive Causemetics. The founder is a young, ambitious female. You buy a product, and that equivalent is donated to charity – whether it’s product for women for money for a great cause.

I wore this mascara on a trip; one day, I applied it in the 6 a.m. hour and it took me through to 2 a.m. the next morning with NO SMUDGING. In fact, all I had were a couple small flakes under one eye. This is the only mascara – the ONLY – that I have tried, that does not smudge on me under my eyes!

And removal? EASY PEASY. This mascara tubes around your lashes and I feel like it’s less messy and cleans up quicker than regular mascara.

OH, and the effect. It does nice things for my lashes, making them look full, and it helps curl them up.

You can purchase this mascara here, for $24. Worth every penny.

Physician’s Formula Rose All Day Highlighter in Soft Petal

Physicians formula rose all day

This highlighter is gorgeous and not what I was expecting to find at the drugstore.

The rose shape is gorgeous. The scent is lightly floral and pretty and does not last past application. The color is just dimensional – a pretty pink with a hint of gold; I am addicted to how this makes me glow!

There’s a compartment under the pan with a small brush I’ll never use and a mirror. The packaging is nice.

If you’re like me and you love a good highlighter, check these out. I kinda want them all! This is on the pricier end of the drugstore spectrum. It’s price on the Physician’s Formula website is $15.99 but I picked mine up at CVS for a whole dollar more at $16.99. And that, folks, is why it’s called a spontaneous/impulsive purchase…I didn’t do my homework (although I do know better that of all places, CVS is going to cost more than places like Walmart!)

Maybelline SuperStay Ink Matte Crayon

The Maybelline SuperStay Matte Ink Liquid Lipsticks are my favorite long-wearing and comfortable matte liquid lipstick. So how could Maybelline up their game? By creating a CRAYON version of their liquid lipstick.

What I love about this product is that I get pretty long wear and precise application. Since it’s a crayon, I line my lips first and fill them in. The formula sets, and it lasts. It promises up to 8 hours but I don’t get quite that; Treat Yourself lasted on me from 6:45 a.m. to 12:20 p.m. with just some wear in the middle of my lower and upper lips that looked like gradual wear. I touched up.

After almost 6 hours of wear with Treat Yourself:

The wear might not be the same as the liquid lipstick, but it is pretty darn close and I’m here for it. You can get these lippies where Maybelline is sold but I purchased mine at Walmart for the price ($7.94) and Ulta ($9.49) for the reward points.

Pixi Beauty Vitamin C SkinTreats

Pixi beauty skintreats vitamin c

It’s hard for me to pick one product out of this lineup that is my favorite right now, because I’m enjoying the line as a whole and what it’s doing for my skin.

I start with the Vitamin-C Juice Cleanser and a cotton round after my morning shower. It’s brightening, antioxidant cleansing water with ferulic acid and probiotics take off the trace remnants of dirt and makeup that my shower cleansing and night-prior cleansing miss. I follow the cleanser with the Vitamin-C Tonic. This also has probiotics which Pixi says help fortify skin’s barrier while willow bark and fruit extracts gently exfoliate. The alcohol-free tonic is gentle on my skin and after these two steps, my face is soft and ready for moisture!

I then add three drops of the Vitamin-C Serum to my hands and massage it onto my face.According to Pixi,  “Vitamin C & ferulic acid are proven to reduce the effects of sun damage and free radicals, helping to improve skin tone and creating a smoother complexion.”

I let this set, then finish my morning skincare routine with the Vitamin-C Lotion (I also add a drop of Royal Hawaiian Sandalwood from Young Living to the lotion) and massage onto my face.

At night, I cleanse my skin, and use the Vitamin-C Caviar Balm,

Pixi says, “Vitamin C has potent antioxidant power, promoting healthy collagen production and is known to boost skin’s luminosity.”

You can find the collection at Target, and here it is on the Pixi website!
