Disclaimer: I bought these.
Christmas is over, but nail fanatics know that just because it’s almost January, doesn’t mean that we have to put away our shimmery reds and sparkly greens. We can do what we want!
These polishes. These polishes are from the Pretty Serious Cosmetics Ghosts of Christmas Past collection, but it would be a shame to put them away until next Christmas!
Let’s start with the one that caught my eye first, on the Pretty Serious Instagram. Peace on Earth:
And here’s how I wore it, with Jamberry wraps in Tinsel Time:
Peace on Earth is a total dupe for that YSL polish, Peace Green, that I wanted but totally didn’t have the energy to go after. You know what? I am glad I didn’t! This polish is cheaper, and it applied so well. Two coats and I was done. The pink shimmer against the mint green is strong. I haven’t been so excited about a mint polish since Essie released Mint Candy Apple a few years ago!
Velvet Bow:
Velvet Bow is a gorgeous cherry red shimmer. This is two wonderful, smooth coats. While I’m over here saying, “wear these after Christmas!” This one embodies Christmas trimmings to me – metallic red bows. Lights on the tree. Ugh. I didn’t HAVE to have this until I saw Kelly from Vampy Varnish post it on Instagram! No regrets!
Jack Frost:
Jack Frost is a gorgeous iridescent glitter bomb/shimmer that is a great topper. Shown above in one coat on the top finger, two coats on the bottom finger. I paired it with Velvet Bow and holy cow, what a gorgeous mani!
The red in Velvet Bow really pulls out the blue and green in the glitters of Jack Frost!
Velvet Bow and Peace on Earth are $7.15 and Jack Frost is $7.87 on the Pretty Serious Cosmetics site here. Peace on Earth is sold out at the moment.
Did you pick up any of these polishes? Any others in the collection? I’d love to hear your thoughts!
