One of my bridesmaids is getting married in February, and she’s marrying my brother-in-law!
Recently, I joined her and my two other sister-in-laws to help Maggie pick out her wedding cake. We had dinner, drinks, and just enjoyed each other’s company. I arrived early, so Maggie took me to their spare room, where they’re keeping all their wedding-related things. Her theme is shabby chic, and even though this isn’t an exact fit with that theme, I keep thinking about Greg and Maggie’s upcoming winter wedding when I think of the Pure Ice Fall for Florals collection!
I bet you were wondering when the heck I was going to get around to the beauty point of that story, lol!
The Fall for Florals collection includes:
- First Time – Metallic Mossy Green
- Viva Las Vegas – Metallic Copper
- Lacquered Lilac – Lilac Cream
- Shore Bet – Beige Cream
- Absolutely Mauvelous – Mauve Cream
- Party Hard – Navy Cream
- Teal Appeal – Dark Teal Cream
I have three of the pretties to share with you today! On to swatches!
Teal Appeal is a gorgeous teal creme! It was opaque in one coat, but I did two for good measure. After I swatched it, I promptly put it on my toes. LOVE!
Absolutely Mauvelous is not your mother’s mauve. It’s got a shabby chic feel to it. Or maybe I’m just really caught up into the theme of my future sister-in-law’s wedding! But it reminds me of dusty roses.Opaque in two coats!
Lacquered Lilac is a pretty purple. Unexpected for fall, but complements some of the “grungier” tones that I’ve got in my closet. This was also opaque in two coats.
I was pleased with the formula on all three of these polishes. Teal Appeal was fantastic – the most opaque. Lacquered Lilac was probably the thinnest, but easily built up in two coats. The application was easy.
Pure Ice nail enamels are available at Walmart stores across the U.S. for $1.99 each. It’s awesome that you can get a lacquer that applies like this for $1.99. Seriously.
Have you spotted these at your local Walmart yet?! I want to find Party Hard, Viva Las Vegas and First Time!
