I feel like I finally stepped up my game during these six days of the 31 Daily Challenge 2014!
I tried some more freehand, and gave a little more thought around what I did. I wasn’t sick anymore, and it showed! There was only one day I “phoned it in,” but I think you’ll agree with my reason why!
Day 13
Day 13 of the challenge was animal print nails. I’ve done freehand leopard/cheetah and I’ve done stamped – so I wanted to do something a little different than what immediately came to mind! I used Pixi Beauty’s Color of the month for September, Almond Glow, as my base. I stamped a cheetah print in Konad Special Polish Black Pearl from Moyou London plate Back to the 80s – 02 and added Orly water-based Instant Artist in Solid Gold as accents. I liked how this turned out!
Day 14
Day 14 was fun. I have been wanting to do little roses freehand forever! I finally did it for the flowers prompt! I used a base of Milani Silhouette. For the roses, I used Milani Iconic Red, Cupcake Icing and Doll Face. For the leaves I used China Glaze Shore Enuff. For the glitter touch, I used Milani Club Lights. I used a brush from a set I got at Claire’s Boutique to draw the flowers and leaves.
Day 15For day 15, delicate print, I used a base of Morgan Taylor Nautically Inspired, and added a pretty intricate fan design from a large plate I have simply labled “C.” I think I got the plate from Chez Delaney a long while ago.
Day 16
I was more inspired on day 16 than 15, as I loved the geometric prompt! I used a base of Mliani Cosmetics Color Statement nail polish in Bronze. I added random lines with Nubar Two-Way Nail Art Pen in Black, and filled in a random shape with Milani Gilded Rocks.
Day 17
Day 17 prompt was glitter and I’ve been dying to use Lacquistry Amazeballz Original! Once I put two coats of it on my nails, I was at a loss for what I could to make it any better than this. Phoned it in today with a beautiful polish! Including two pics because I might love it more in the shade than in the sunlight!
Day 18
I wasn’t ready to take Amazeballz off yet, so for day 18, half moon prompt, I added Cult Nails Radiance! I used nail vinyls that looked like half a paper reinforcement as a guide for creating the perfect line of my half moon! I like the challenge of recycling a mani for a second day prompt, this is the second week I’ve done it, I’m going to try and do it again next week.
SO – if you doing this challenge – which day did you like best of these ones?! If you’re not – which mani above would you rock?!
