I decided over the Fourth of July weekend that I needed a palette cleanser, so on July 5, I reached for two new nail polishes in my stash for a summery pink look.
Guess what? Those polishes were from Jamberry. I had no idea they make nail polish, too! I was happy to try out Blush, a pretty, feminine pink, and Glitter Effect Top Coat, a sheer pink jelly packed with iridescent glitter.
Here’s my look:
Please excuse my cuticle injury on my pinky! I tried to take the pictures around it.
Blush applied very nicely. I used two coats to achieve opacity and then used a couple coats of Glitter Effect Top Coat to create the look above. The glitter is packed, so that was easy to apply, as well, and the jelly base isn’t overly thick. The brush on these polishes was medium to large, and I like the rounded shape of the bottle and cap. I had no issues in application with these shapes.
I was impressed with the formula, which is five-free, and I wore this look for two days, without any chips and hardly any tip wear, actually. I used my usual Glisten & Glow HK Girl top coat.
I have nothing bad to say about these polishes, they are great! The only thing that I would complain about is the price tag – $15 per .4 fl oz bottle. You can buy off the main Jamberry site here, but chances are, you should check in on your friends and see if anyone is selling it and toss them the commission. I might buy lacquer from Jamberry in the future if it’s on sale, but probably not at $15 a bottle.
Have you ever tried Jamberry’s nail lacquer? What do you think? Is it something you’d try?
