Cosmoprof 2013: Layla Cosmetics

At Cosmoprof North America Las Vegas (July 14-16), Layla Cosmetics had such a colorful booth display!

Layla didn’t have too much new to share, just some of their gorgeous polish lines, like the Gel Effect polishes, which launched earlier this year but have been reformulated:

Gel Effect polishes are $15 and you can find them on

My favorite collection on display, and the brand’s newest offering, was the new Layla Pro Nail Polish, a line with 24 colors – including these gorgeous  neons. Look at these!

These Pro polishes retail for $15 MSRP, and contain 15% more pigment than regular Layla polishes. They have 17 ml of polish and a double cap (the top cap comes off a la LVX or Chanel to reveal a smaller cap). The cap is short but the wand is long. The brush is a medium width.

Here’s a swatch of a blue shimmer, No. 18:

Application was pretty easy. This happens to be a great color for fall! I haven’t given this polish a true wear test yet, but Layla polishes typically do well with my body chemistry.

One other new products this year that I did not get a pic of was Layla’s new Eco Base & Fix, which is available at (you get 13 ml). Layla says you don’t need a base or top coat with the brand’s nail polish, but some people do feel more comfortable with the added layers of protection. The brand has obliged.

It’s always good to see the women who work with the brand. Cosmoprof was no exception!

So what do you think of the new Pro line? See anything on those swatch wheels that catches your attention?! I’d love to hear your thoughts!
