Every now and then, an eyeliner comes along, and it changes my routine. It’s the kind of liner that has great control during application, stands up against watery eyes, and looks fab – all day long and when I’m too lazy to take off my makeup, the next morning (rarely happens but…)

Enter Jesse’s Girl new Waterproof Liquid Eyeliner.

This new liner, which has fast become my black liquid liner Holy Grail, has the following key features:

  • Calligraphy-style brush (made in Japan)
  • Glides on smooth (no tugging/pulling)
  • Super-fine application (lines as small as 1 mm thickness)
  • Dries quickly (waterproof, smudge proof)
  • Available in black

Here’s how it looks out of the package:

Here’s a look at the brush:

The brush is super easy to work with, and it’s stiff on your lid. It’s pliable but it doesn’t go rogue as you’re trying to draw a straight line. The control I have in creating a thin line is amazing. Check out my hand swatches:

And here’s a bunch of looks I’ve done since I received the liner for review.

For this first look, I used Jesse’s Girl Eye Dusts in Ultra Violet (inner corner/lid to crease), Sunset Blvd. (outer lid into crease and blended into Ultra Violet) and Pixie Dust to brow for highlight:

I used Kryolan’s 18-color Variety palette in Bright for this next look with the liner:

In this next look, I used Inglot shadows, and my lipstick is Jesse’s Girl Plum Blossom! This was my look for pro night at IMATS. The first photo is a little blurry but a good close-up of the liner:

In this next look, I used more Jesse’s Girl Eye Dusts, this time I used Cafe Au Lait in the inner corner/lid to crease and blended into Sunlit Cactus, on my outer lid into crease, and Kiwi Rose to brow for highlight:

The new liner retails for $6.99, and is now available on JessesGirlCosmetics.com. It will also be launching in Rite Aid stores during the month of April.

The most amazing thing to me about this liner is how well it wears. My eyes tend to tear up at the outer corners, and one day I could not get my left eye to stop tearing. I kept having to touch up my outer corner eye shadow, but that liner stayed in place. I was impressed. And it’s only $6.99. Sweet!

How about we get to the good stuff – the part where you get to try the liner for yourself?!
