Call me a cheater. But I bought the first two months of the Sensa Weight Loss System last week.
I decided I needed a little boost in getting over my plateau, especially since I was determined after having last week’s fat-piphany. This seemed like an OK way of doing it. So, I picked up the kit, which was $89.99 at GNC, and I started using it last Tuesday. Basically there’s Salty and Sweet “tastants,” and you sprinkle the appropriate one over your food before you eat it. I don’t feel like explaining it; if you want to know more about how it works, go here.
So far so good. It definitely makes me feel fuller, quicker, and it helps me last longer in between meals without excessive snacking. Plus, this past week had the potential to be bad, as it was Employee Appreciation Week at work, and a lot of the time our higher-ups showed their appreciation with food – popcorn (not the fat free kind), build your own ice cream sundaes, BBQ lunch…you know how it goes. I was able to indulge, but still lose weight this week.
The only problem is that I have had a persistent headache on and off all week, with a bit of nausea. One day I thought I almost might have to leave work, but felt so awful I didn’t know how I would drive. I don’t know if it’s the Sensa, or just a migraine. I didn’t even think about it being related to Sensa until Mike said something about the possibility on Saturday.
Weight at start of the week: 199.4 lbs.
Weight at end of the week: 198.8 lbs.
That’s a total of .6 lbs lost, for a grand total of 21.4 lbs down.
Goals for the coming week:
- Continue using Sensa, but watch how it may be affecting my health.
- Run a 3.65 mile race on Tuesday night that is sponsored by my running club!
- Continue working on getting six glasses of water in!
How’s your week, friends? Have you ever enlisted a small weight loss aid to help you shed some pounds?
