IT Cosmetics Bye Bye Pores Poreless Finish HD Micro-Powder and Heavenly Luxe Powder Brush

Of all the products I use in my beauty routine, a finishing powder has never been as “must-have” as my foundation, blush and lippie.

Until now.

I recently gave IT Cosmetics Bye Bye Pores Poreless Finish HD Micro-Powder a shot, and fell in love with the silky feel it gives to my skin.

I apply it with the IT Cosmetics Heavenly Luxe Powder Brush, which is the largest brush I’ve ever used on my face, but also one of the nicest.

When I first opened the container of Bye Bye Pores Poreless Finish HD Micro-Powder, I was scared. Look at how white it is!

I thought, “holy crap! I’m putting chalk dust on my face?!” Not so much, but more on that in a sec. The product comes with a face pouf:

But I honestly can’t imagine applying this with anything other than this huge, comfy brush.

The Heavenly Luxe Brush is an all-over powder brush with a rubberized, jumbo handle. The synthetic brush hair looks crimped, which I’ve learned from using BareMinerals that this means it holds the powder better for application.

“IT’S SO FLUFFY I’M GONNA DIE!!!!” – who knows where that’s from?!?!

So back to the powder.

This stuff seriously leaves my face feeling silky for hours. And it really does finish off my makeup. I have no pores, and my face looks flawless.

A little bit goes a long way. I usually catch a little chunk of product on the brush, swirl it on my brush in the cap, tap it in the air with my fingers to get some excess off, and apply. I dust my forehead, nose, cheeks and chin with the product. I usually go round a couple times.

Now, I’m not going to lie and tell you this is totally translucent when you first apply it. Look at the difference on the back of my hand:

This was after I did the tapping routine, too, so it’s not all concentrated. Yes, it looks whiter and I’m not sure how this would work on darker skin tones.

However, once I wore it for a little bit, that touch of white powder look faded. I was relieved that my face still felt silky, but I didn’t look like I applied light, white powder. This product just needs to settle on your skin and blend before it is translucent.

It doesn’t dry or crack in lines on my face, it just naturally wears and is really fantastic. It is the whole package for me, where as other finishing powders have not worn long, settled into the crevices of my face, and done nothing to stop oils from make me shiny.

TIP: Poreless Finish HD Micro-Powder, which absorbs the oil from your face, can also be used as a dry shampoo!!

The Poreless Finish HD Micro-Powder has hydrolyzed collagen, silk and vitamins A, C, E and K. Here’s the full list of ingredients from the box: silica, soluble collagen, retinyl palmitate, tocopherol, magnesium ascorbyl phosphate, tocopheryl acetate, phytonadione, hydrolyzed collagen, hydrolyzed silk protein. May contain: iron oxide CI 77492.

IT Cosmetics is a cruelty-free company.

In addition to finding these two products on the IT Cosmetics website, you can also purchase them on QVC, which has the brush and finishing powder together for $42. This is quite a deal, and what I would encourage, because the powder is $24 and the brush is $48. Why would you spend $48 for just the brush when you can get both for $6 less?

I will be buying this product when it runs out, because it is my new holy grail finishing powder.

So what do you think? Do you use a finishing powder as part of your daily beauty routine? What’s your favorite? What do you think of this one?
