Jesse’s Girl 9-Pan Eyeshadow Palette in Tickled Pink

At Cosmoprof (Las Vegas, July 31-Aug 2), a group of us beauty bloggers were treated to a wonderful night out thanks to the owner of Jesse’s Girl Cosmetics, Jesse Lawrence, and his daughter, as well as the scheduling genius of Krystal from Polish Galore. Here is a group shot of all of us by the limo that transported us to the restaurant, Lawry’s:

What amazing women I was surrounded by, including but definitely not limited to – Christine from Temptalia, Melissa from The Daily Nail and Julie G! After a wonderful dinner and conversation with fellow bloggers like Lizbeth from Lacquered Lizard, Katherine from Manicure Addict and Jesse himself, Jesse was kind enough to give us a parting gift, a bag with some of Jesse’s Girl products, including eyeshadow palettes, an eyeliner and nail polish. I’ve used Jesse’s Girl Eye Dusts in the past with much success, so I was excited to try out these eyeshadow palettes. The one I’m reviewing for you today is called Tickled Pink.

I love the color selection of the shadows in this palette, because pinks and coppers tend to make my grey-blue eyes pop.

Swatches on my arm, with no primer:

Swatches on my arm, over Urban Decay Primer Potion:

The lighter colors pop a lot more with primer.

The only shadows in the pan that proved a bit difficult to show up on my arm were the second from the left, the pink, and the fourth from the left, the purple. Otherwise, these were all velvety-smooth to apply. Here’s a shot of all the makeup I used for this FOTD with this palette:

In that photo, you’ll see I also used Jesse’s Girl Kohl Formula Eyeliner in Black:

The eyeliner pencil has a sharpener built into the lid:

Be careful to have a trash can under you as you sharpen:

Swatches on my hand – a filled in block and a line:

And swatches of the FOTD!

This shot is a little blurred so you can see the shimmer:

Another face shot, because I forgot to take the face shot where I’m looking down, and you can see the shadow! Sorry!:

The shadows lasted all day over Urban Decay Primer Potion in Sin. It was a soft summery pop of color for a work FOTD, and a new go-to palette for me! This is a great pink-themed palette!

I liked the palette more than the eyeliner. I love that the sharpener is attached to the liner on the cap – that’s super convenient. While the pigmentation of the liner is strong on the swatch I did on my hand, I didn’t feel that for the thin line of liner I used on my lid, that the pigmentation was strong. I will definitely use this liner for work looks, because it’s soft. But if I want a black, black liner for a dramatic eye of some sort, I will likely reach for something else.

This palette is a steal for $3.99. The eyeliner is $1.99. You can purchase Jesse’s Girl cosmetics at Rite Aid, or through the website here.
