October has been gone nary a week…we’re done with Halloween-ails. We’ve got a few weeks before the holidays start!
I have really wanted to do a falling leaves manicure, and I finally did it. My friend at work told me that she thinks this is the perfect Thanksgiving mani, and even thought I didn’t intend it to be, perhaps I will revisit this on turkey day!
I used Barielle Unraveled Rust for the base. I stamped the three leaves design from Bundle Monster plate BM04 three times on each nail. First I stamped with Konad Special Polish in Yellow, then in Orange and finished with Konad Princess Polish in Olive Green.
I think it turned out lovely! As the leaves have turned and fallen from the trees, I’ve had a front-row view every work day from my cubicle. I’ve watched the small trees in the parking lot turn yellow, then become barren, all in a few days’ time. I’ve watched the pretty red, yellow and orange bunch of trees in the distance become brown and mostly barren. A long time ago, I thought of fall as a symbol of death – everything dying and cold weather moving in. But I see the beauty in how nature replenishes and cycles itself in the Mid-Atlantic/Northeast, and it’s beautiful!
Hope you’re having a wonderful fall!
Disclaimer: Konad Special and Princess polishes may have been sent to me for review at a much prior date! Not sure if I have to keep disclosing when I use these products, but I figured it can’t hurt!
