I’ve been anticipating the OPI fall line for weeks! Yesterday my friend Denise and I were at Ulta at 11 a.m., sale circulars in hand, and found we didn’t have to go far into the store to find it. We grabbed baskets and took about five steps and there was the display!I scored a polish for free with my Ulta rewards certificate and I also scored this for free:
But onto the collection! I know so many bloggers have already posted their swatches but I was so excited that I couldn’t wait to see how they all looked on my own nails – so I swatched for you too 🙂
So here we go!
Pamplona Purple is a gorgeous purple creme. I have been wearing teal (in honor of Teal Toes) but I wanted to change for a week, and this seemed like the perfect color! I decided that Nicole by OPI’s Love Your Life would go perfect over top:
Next up is Ate Berries in the Canaries:
I love Ate Berries – it’s very complimentary to my fair skin and to me it seems warm.
Conquistadorable Color is adorable in the above two photos! It’s a red/pink, very inbetween for me – not a red, definitely a pink but red. LOL I like it!
Manicurist in Seville does not look accurate in these above pictures, really, it’s a bit more plum-ish. Actually a lot more.
Oh, Can You Tapas This?, how do I love thee? Let me count the ways…or rather not because I don’t have the time to count that high! This color is one of my favorites from this collection. I couldn’t wait to get it! It’s this beautiful chocolately red. It’s awesome for fall.
Before I hit the last three – which are all darks, I figured I’d lighten things up with Barefoot in Barcelona. This is a gorgeous nude that looks darker on my nail than in the bottle. I have a San Fran business trip in late September, and THIS will be on my digits.
Give Me Moor! went on like a purple jelly. It kind of reminds me of Lincoln Park After Dark a bit.
Suzi Skies in the Pyrenees is one of my other favorite colors from this collection! It’s this blue-ish, gray color that is unlike anything I have in my collection. It went on opaque the first coat but it was thick and gorgeous after two coats.
Here Today…Aragon Tomorrow is my third favorite in this collection. We’ve seen a lot of dark green polishes for fall and the cool thing is that each one is different. And I love them all! (See Sephora by OPI Dark Room and Orly Enchanted Forest swatches here).
Because the state of my nails is bumpy in the days post-acrylics, I used Orly Ridgefiller under two coats of each of the above polishes.
So there you have my offerings from the OPI Espana Collection! I didn’t buy them all, I wasn’t feeling Pink Flamenco or No Spain, No Gain. And Bullish on OPI seemed a lot like Orly Poison Apple so I skipped it. While Ulta sold these for $8.50, Denise and I scored some of them at a beauty supply store for $6.79 a piece! Needless to say, my beauty budget is spent for this pay period 🙂
Hope your Monday is off to a great start, friends!
