About me
I am located in the outskirts of Philadelphia, where I have spent more than half my life as a writer and editor, recently making the jump into corporate communications. I knew from a young age I wanted to write, filling Mead notebooks with stories year after year, and getting my first front-page newpaper article published when I was 15 (Ok, it was a weekly, and looking back that article sucked. But still! LOL). I have a Master’s Degree in Writing and a BA in journalism. In addition to my current work in corporate communications, I’ve worked as a reporter, features columnist, medical writer/managing editor, did a semester-stint as a community college adjunct and have won one state and two national writing awards

In other words, I like to write
I live with my boyfriend, Mike, and our cat, Timmy! In my spare time, I love reading, traveling, spending time with family and friends and of course, blogging!

While I’m passionate about writing, I also have a bad nail polish/makeup/beauty addiction, and this is my place to share it with you! I started BeautyJudy in February 2009 as a way to share makeup application tips and reviews with my family and friends who were always asking advice. In summer of 2009, BeautyJudy blossomed into primarily a nail polish blog, but I still dabble in makeup because I am just as passionate about it as ever!
