About Judy
Judy is a corporate communications professional and freelance writer/editor. With more than a dozen years experience as a writer, columnist and editor at weekly, daily and trade newspapers/online pubs, she has written for lay press, medical professionals and beauty fanatics alike – in addition to experience crafting internal and external corporate communication strategy. She has won several awards for her writing and editing, has a Master’s degree in Writing and BA in journalism/professional writing.
In addition to BeautyJudy, Judy writes the Beauty Beat column for the Burlington County Times (NJ).
Judy lives in South Jersey – not far from New York City or Philadelphia – with her fiance, Mike, and cat, Timmy. When she’s not working or writing, she spends her spare time reading, traveling, spending time with family and friends. Oh, and shopping for makeup and nail polish!!

Judy started BeautyJudy in February 2009 as a way to share makeup application tips and reviews with family and friends who were always asking advice. In summer of 2009, BeautyJudy blossomed into primarily a nail polish blog. It has since evolved into a mix of makeup and nail posts.
The BeautyJudy tagline, “Reveling in a love of color,” is more a way of life than a tagline!
