April 2019 Empties

My April empties ranged from hair care, skincare to makeup and nail stuff – I am really stoked at how I’m doing going through product this year.

I used up $152.59 worth of product in April, bringing my 2019 total to-date to $505.12!

How did you do this month?!

KBShimmer Picture Perfect Cuticle Cream in Knotty Girl

This tiny tube is my “desk” cuticle moisturizer, and I use it a minimum of once a day! I’m always trying to keep my hands and cuticles hydrated, even in the warmed climate of Central Florida! I’ve reviewed this before, so I won’t get too crazy, but I will most definitely be ordering again, although I already have a couple waiting to replace this one at my office. Picture Perfect Cuticle Cream retails for $4.50.

Would I repurchase? Yes!

Love Beauty and Planet Tea Tree Oil and Vetiver Radical Refresher Shampoo and Conditioner

This shampoo and conditioner duo were energizing as the tea tree oil scent picked me up in the morning. I am NOT a morning person and the pep is much appreciated! I’ve done my share to rave about Love Beauty and Planet here on BeautyJudy, and this duo is no exception. I paid $6.99 a bottle at Target.

Would I repurchase? Yes, although I have some 30 + fl oz. Redken goodies in my shower at the moment.

Sephora for Disney Cinderella Collection – So This is Love Perfume

I love this scent – and the Cinderella carriage on the front of the bottle. The scent was light and perfect for me, and an everyday choice. I am SO sad it’s gone. I loved the Disney Princess themes that Sephora did a few years back, I still have the eye palettes that came out! I can only guess how much this might have cost me; a quick scan on eBay shows anywhere from &79.99 to $139 + for a bottle. I’ll guess it was actually $50 when it came out.

Would I repurchase? I wish it were still available, it’s such a lovely, light, feminine scent!

Versace Eros perfume sample

I have traveled a bit more recently, and favor the perfume samples I’ve accumulated from years of Sephora shopping. Total side note – I am so annoyed that they no longer have such a great selection of samples to give – looks like they are now SELLING sample boxes, so why would they? It was a nice perk while it lasted! Anyway, this had a nice scent. It’s a sample, so it’s free.

Would I repurchase? The scent was beautiful, I would purchase it.

Dove Refresh + Care Fresh Coconut Dry Shampoo

I love Dove deodorant sprays, and Dove beauty bars, so I had high hopes for this dry shampoo. It did not deliver for me. I used it, and it did not absorb the oils in my hair. The only thing it did was initially give me some volume when I sprayed it in, before styling it. This cost $4.89 at Target.

Would I repurchase? Nope. Back to the more expensive but effective Amika.

Young Living Orange Blossom Face Wash

I’ve posted about how I’ve experimented using essential oils in my home and personal care routines. I decided to try some of Young Living’s other essential oil-infused products, like this face wash. It was lovely, don’t get me wrong. But it costs $39.75. It did a great job but so many other face washes do a great job, are all natural, and cost less money.

Would I repurchase? No. The cost is prohibitive.

Neutrogena Facial Wipes

Snooze. Yep. Used up more face wipes – regular and night-calming.

Travel size was $1.99 and the Night-calming full size $6.50.

Would I repurchase? You know it – yep!

Ofra Cosmetics Eye Primer

I didn’t actually use this up, but wanted to add it because it was in the back of one of my drawers, and when I pulled it out (it’s a few years old, I should have thrown it out a long while ago!), it was dried. So I tossed it. It was a great primer, it was just truthfully at the back of my drawer and I am sorry I forgot about it. This eye primer is $20.

Would I repurchase? Probably not.

Cetaphil Daily Facial Cleanser

I used up a travel size of this, and it took me a while, not gonna lie! Like I said earlier – I’ve been traveling more, so I’ve gotten a chance to use more of my travel goodies. This is a brand recommended to me by my dermatologist, and it has never done me wrong! This cost $2.97 at Target.

Would I repurchase? Sure. It’s gentle and a sure bet when I’m traveling and exposing my sensitive face to different environments and water types.

Milani Prep + Set + Glow Illuminating Translucent Powder

Not the first one of these I’ve used up! I had serious pan going on – there was only product in a ring along the compact – when I dropped it in my hotel room and it broke into pieces. I’ve raved about it here. This powder is $10.

Would I repurchase: Already have a backup ready to go after I use up my next translucent powder!

B Polished Make it Dry Quick Dry Setting Liquid

I’m obsessed with this. I’ve only bought it through the Polish Pickup, because of the scenting. The first bottle I bought had this delicious lemon lime scent, and that’s this here bottle I used up. Next time I saw it in PPU, I bought two bottles. I use it when I do every mani! Also? It’s only $5! And it dries fast, smells amazing and feels nice on my fingers.

Would I repurchase: YES!
