November 2018 Empties

Disclaimer: Some PR samples; see bottom for full disclosure.

I haven’t done an empties post in a hot minute!

With our move, things were just a little too hectic to keep track. But it’s been a month and a half since we’ve been in our new home, and I was able to put aside a few things that I used up this past month!

Personally, I wanted to get back to doing this type of post because as a consumer, I like empties posts. Beauty bloggers and vloggers talk about products all the time, and I feel there’s something very honest about sharing empties – like, hey. I may be trying all these things…but this is what I love enough to see to the end. Or, I spent a lot of money on it and didn’t want to waste it, lol. It can be insightful!

So here are mine…

Neutrogena Makeup Remover Cleansing Towelettes in Night Calming

I feel as if I have one of these in my empties post every month, when I was consistently doing it each month! In fact, here’s my empties post from June, my most recent one. It’s mentioned! These wipes do a great job taking my day off, and they smell wonderful. Light and lavender and wonderful.

Would I repurchase? I have purchased these countless times and usually grab the two-pack at Ulta if there’s a perk with points or a sale! I always have a pack waiting in the wings.

Milani Prep + Set + Glow Illuminating Translucent Powder

This is not the first time I’ve polished off one of these powders. This is my favorite finishing powder. I use it everyday, and I always have a backup. If I am wearing a dewy foundation, it is just the perfect finishing touch to calm down the wet look and add a glow to my complexion.

Would I repurchase? Absolutely! I need to go buy my backup, because I just cracked it open!

Pixi H2O SkinTint Tinted Face Gel in Cream

I reviewed this product four years ago here. It’s been a summertime staple for me ever since I discovered it that year, because of its lightweight formula and great coverage. Even with my rosacea, this evens out my skin tone.

Would I repurchase? Yes. I’ve repurchased it at Target a couple times and have a tube waiting to be opened!

Freshh Face Orange Blossom Hydrosol and Hibiscus Orange Blossom Balancing Toner

I don’t want to give too much away here, because I want to write a separate post about the skin care regime I followed while using these two products, but I discovered Freshh Face in September while at The Makeup Show Orlando, and fell in love with the fact that this black woman-owned and operated company had an approach to skin care founded in plants/flowers, fruits and herbs. Hibiscus Orange Blossom Toner is a small spray bottle; I sprayed it on an oval cotton pad and used it across my face prior to using the Orange Blossom Hydrosol, a moisturizing spray that I’d use prior to adding a facial moisturizing cream. These two products have just what they need and no preservatives and expiration dates – it felt great to not only support a small business but to put something so natural on my skin.

Would I purchase? I will reserve my verdict for my more in-depth post about all four skin care products as I used them all together; the facial cleanser is almost out and the exfoliating product is still half full (I didn’t use it as much). But I can’t wait to share more!

What about you – what did you use up recently?!
