It’s been a hot minute since I shared some of my favorite products of the moment, but I’ve been pretty consistent lately in what I’m using, and these products deserve a shout-out!
I’ve been using this almost everyday since I bought it, the beginning of October. Here’s why I like this mascara:
- I have minimal flaking, or smudging
- It gives my lashes volume and definition
- It gives them a bit of curl, and when I use the lash curler, helps them hold the curl
I didn’t want to love this mascara, because it’s over $20. But I do and I’ll probably buy it again. I have many other sample sizes to try before I can allow myself to buy this mascara again, but it’s my second favorite now, after DiorShow.
I picked mine up at Ulta.
I don’t crush on moisturizers very often, but I crush on this! In the morning here’s my typical routine:
- Wash face in the shower with Freshh Face Creamy Citrus Facial Cleanser
- Tone with Freshh Face Hibiscus Orange Blossom Balancing Toner
- Hydrate with Freshh Face Orange Blossom Hydrosol
- Use Secret Sauce
The days I use Secret Sauce, my makeup goes on easier, looks better. It’s an anti-aging moisturizer, and at 41, I’ve come to terms that I need to use these types of products to keep my skin youthful as long as possible!
Overall, Secret Sauce is helping the drier areas of my skin. I also drink more water to help, too.
I picked up Secret Sauce at The Makeup Show New York City earlier this year but you can get it at Sephora.
I’m a big fan of finishing sprays. Not only do they help set my makeup for hours, they are refreshing (I get warm when I do my makeup, I have no idea why, lol!)
As much as I want to save this spray for travel, because it’s the perfect size, I can’t help spritzing it as my last step in makeup application each day! It smells yummy but the scent doesn’t stay with me long.
I bought this palette (for only $15, I should note!) and thought to myself…when the heck am I going to wear glitter? I go to my corporate job. I parent two small children. I never get out for a night on the town.
But you know what? At least once a month, I wear glitter simply for the fact that I love it, and I can. I’ll do it when I go to Disney, or run errands with my family on a weekend day.
Life’s too short NOT to enjoy glitter, guys!
I found this particular glitter palette at The Makeup Show Orlando and I was super skeptical about its longevity and how it would perform on my lids. I’ve used this kind of glitter years ago – not from this brand, though – and was unimpressed with the wear as it creased on my lid within an hour.
Ruby May’s formula does not crease on me. I even have minimal fallout under my eye, which shocks me. I can apply it with a finger or a brush, and it performs, either way. The array of glitter shades means I have many options on where I can place it on the lid and how I can coordinate it to my shadows and overall makeup that day. I do plan on reviewing this palette on its own, too, so I’ll save the swatches! But it’s a great way to satisfy my glitter craving with a great color selection and great price point!
Puckerd Metallic Liquid Lipsticks
Another find from The Makeup Show Orlando for me – Puckerd matte metallic liquid lipsticks! I’m a sucker for matte liquid lipsticks, but since I lean more towards flashy than subtle, I especially love metallic ones, lol.
Puckerd is a black-owned small business, too, so I am even more excited about these lippies!
So what products are you loving right now?! I’d love to hear in the comments below!
