I am TAKEN with the latest KBShimmer collection that will be launching June 15. So taken, in fact, that I have worn every color already, and it’s not even “officially” summer!
The eight-piece Wanderlust Collection reflects KBShimmer owner Christy Rose’s strong desire to travel and inspiration after a trip to the West Coast. Christy was taken with the “laid-back vibe” of Ventura, California, where she spent a week crafting, learning and enjoying new adventures, according to the brand’s collection information.
For those who have never been, Ventura is a seaside spot that provided Christy the perfect place to envision shades of blue, green, pink and purple. This is the first Wanderlust collection by KBShimmer – I am excited to see where else will be an inspiration to Christy and Jason!
The Wanderlust Collection launches at noon on June 15, on the KBShimmer website. Each polish will retail for $10 a piece. Check out these pretties!
Wander-ful World is a magenta pink packed with linear holo pigment. It’s inspired by what KBShimmer says are “the vibrant fashions and showy pink flowers of California.” I wore this in two coats. Gorgeous, hot shade for summer!
Hakuna Moscato is described as: “blushing rose gold micro flakes surround a scattering of holographic glitter.” This has a gorgeous foily look to it and it’s a gorgeous take on the rose gold trend that still hangs on! I felt the holo was a bit subtle with the brightness of the rose gold. This polish is a standout for me in this collection and I wore it in two coats!
Meet Me At The Barre
Meet Me at the Barre is a gorgeous pale pink shade hat packs a lot of bright pigment that will POP on your hands. KBShimmer says there are hints of coral in this creme but I don’t quite see it, it is very subtle to me. I applied this beauty in two coats.
Cactus If You Can
Cactus If You Can is a gorgeous shabby chic green shade that has a soft pink shimmer and micro holo. I used two coats here. Inspiration is, of course, cacti! I love it!
Don’t Fear The Reefer
Don’t Fear the Reefer is inspired by the formerly-outlawed plant sold across California and is a minty aqua linear holo, shown here in two coats. Perfect shade for a nighttime pool party!
Now and Zen
Now and Zen is a beautiful blue-to-aqua-to-lavender shifting polish with micro holo flakes. Shown here in two coats, the glow is so real. You know I love my blues; I couldn’t stop staring!
Succ It Up
Succ It Up is probably my fav of the collection, if I had to pick one! It’s a shimmery purple polish with a strong blue/green shimmer and holo micro flakes. The many types of succulents found in California with their luscious shades of green, pink, purple and blue inspired this polish! Shown here in two coats.
Rise and Grind
Coffee. I love a polish inspired by my favorite drink; Rise and Grind is a nod to people who like a little milk in their coffee, iced coffee – or a latte. This linear holo soft brown is perfect for the work week! Shown here in two coats.
For each mani I used KBShimmer Basic Training Base Coat and Clearly on Top Quick Dry Top Coat.
All of the polishes applied well. This is a collection that I really loved from start to finish. I don’t usually wear all the polishes in a collection before reviewing them, but clearly I am in love! I wore most for only a couple days, with minimal signs of wear (i.e., tip wear, chips).
Will you be adding any of these nail polish colors to your KBShimmer shopping cart next week?! What is your favorite?! I’d love to hear in the comments below!
