It’s that time of the month again – previews of next month’s Polish Pick Up!!!
I’ve got a ton of pictures of KBShimmer’s contribution, a magnetic called Insert Coin.
I wore this for five days with Basic Training as my base coat and Clearly on Top Quick Dry Top Coat – and minimal tip wear or chips!
About the inspiration for its June “Video Games” theme offering, KBShimmer says:
“Today’s kids have it easy, they whip out a phone, or plug in a game system and they can be online playing games instantly. Back in the good ole days, video games were expensive to own, so kids headed down to the video arcade with pockets jingling, ready to reach for that high score. The lights of the machines beckoned, bold graphics on machines invited you to fight street style, shoot invaders, or munch some ghosts, but only after you inserted those coins. Insert Coins is a nod to those arcades of the past.”
This polish looks like a brown/bronze holo in the bottle. But hit it with a magnet and you see vibrant blue and purple multichrome while a band of gold. A dusting of holo flakes complete this polish.
Are you ready for this?! Here we go…
I did a coat of polish, used the magnet. I applied a second coat, and applied the magnet. I did third coats on my left hand’s ring and pinky fingers because the magnetized part reall spread out and I preferred the tighter cat’s eye effect!
When open, shop the PPU website here. Remember – you can only purchase this over the first weekend of June (June 1-June 4)! Don’t forget to keep up with the selling platform and KBShimmer – the Polish Pickup Facebook page is here, and KBShimmer here! Insert Coin will retail for $11.50 each and there is no cap.
So what do you think? Is Insert Coin going on your wish list?!
