I’m taking a day off from typical content – it’s been a busy week! But I do have an important update.
Today, the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) goes into effect. BeautyJudy has its privacy policies listed here, along with my disclosure on samples etc. Those in the EU will encounter a pop-up box when they visit my site.
I want to share that I do not advertise on my site; I do receive PR samples and have done sponsored posts, but I have avoided ads on my site for a long time as BeautyJudy is primarily my hobby. I do not collect email addresses for email subscriptions. I do use Google Analytics to understand how much traffic I get each month, and what country it comes from. But because I have WordPress, Google Analytics and Disqus associated with my site, I am required to comply with the GDPR.
For more information on GDPR, I’d recommend this comprehensive article from CNET published on May 24.
I’ve done my best to comply and I hope that BeautyJudy is a place for anyone and everyone who is interested in content related to beauty, motherhood, career and lifestyle.
Have a great Memorial Day weekend, to my American readers, while remembering the reason for the holiday: The men and women who made the ultimate sacrifice so that we may have our freedoms.
