The last few weeks, I’ve been alternating between two body washes in the shower, both bottles taking me away to a much more tropical place than where I live.
Love Beauty & Planet – you are hitting the tropical spot for me right now!
I have two of the brand’s body washes:
- Tropical Hydration (Coconut & Ylang Ylang scented)
- Radical Refresher (Coconut Water & Mimosa Flower scented)
Ingredients for Tropical Hydration:
The Tropical Hydration body wash has virgin coconut oil and the jasmine-like ylang ylang essential oil, two favorites of mine. I love diffusing ylang ylang with lavender, actually; although ylang ylang is thought of as a romantic oil, it lifts my mood.
As far as ylang ylang in a body wash? I really enjoy that smell first thing in the morning, mixed with the coconut, as I try to wake up and start my day.
Ingredients for Radical Refresher:
The Radical Refresher is a light scent that I might favor even more over the Tropical Hydration scent. This body wash is also formulated with coconut oil as well as coconut water and ethically-sourced Moroccan Mimosa Flower absolute. The scent has “green floral notes with distinct undertones of powdery honey and a fruity raspberry cassis,” according to the brand description.
I use both body washes with a loofah. They lather up nicely, but the body wash rinses easily from the loofah, whereas with other body washes, I have to stand and rinse the loofah for a couple minutes to get all the foam out.
Part of Love Beauty & Planet’s brand promise is a commitment to the environment, something that shows through their packaging, as well as products like this that encourage less tap water use. (Read more about the brand here in my first product review earlier this month!)
When finished my shower, my skin is not “squeaky” clean, it is comfortably clean and the scent lightly lingers on my skin. It does not last too long into my morning, though, or interfere with any perfume I might wear.
There are six different body washes to choose from, each with a different skin purpose. See the selection here. I would love to try the rest. I picked up both of these body washes at Target for $6.99 a piece.
Have you tried Love Beauty & Planet’s body washes – or any of their products – yet?
