November Empties!

November Empties BeautyJudy

Another month…another bunch of product down! I finished/threw away a variety this month and I have to say, there is such a sense of pride for me when I finish a product and I put it aside to take the empties photo each month. I feel as if I’m holding myself accountable for my purchases and in using up what I have in my home!

Some of what I got rid of wasn’t exactly empty this month but I’ll explain on those individual product blurbs!

Let’s just jump right in! And of course – please share in the comments what YOU are happy to have finished up in November if you are keeping track too!

Garnier Soothing Makeup Removing Cleansing Towelettes

I have written about these before in my empties posts so I won’t go on and on. But kicking this package means I don’t have any back-ups, so I’m a desperate woman!

Would I repurchase? Yes, I need to restock desperately!

Dove Sensitive Skin Beauty Bar

This soap has been a staple in among my empties but I slowed how often I finished a bar because I started using other body washes, too. Still love it, though. Here’s where I’ve written more about it…

Would I repurchase? Yes.

Clinique Moisture Surge Extended Thirst Relief

I received a sample of this in my September Macy’s Beauty Box. As I mentioned in that post, I love the gel consistency of this moisturizer. This would be a perfect summer/spring moisturizer for me if I choose, although I wore it in fall and it served me well.

Would I repurchase? Probably not – I’ve been using skincare with all natural ingredients from a local small business lately.

Tigi Bed Head Rockaholic Dirty Secret Dry Shampoo

This dry shampoo has a citrusy smell to it that was pleasant and seemed to not just help with absorbing oil but also helped give me a little volume. I only purchased a 2.5 oz can of this – I purchased a few smaller sizes at Ultra a few months ago to try and find something that I would love – and I was disappointed when it was done.

Would I repurchase? Yes if I’m in a bind. My ultimate favorite is Amika’s dry shampoo, and I have a bottle of that in my stash and am working on an Kristen Ess dry shampoo at the moment.

Drybar Triple Sec 3-in-1

I don’t know where it came from, but I rather quickly used up this .35 oz sample bottle of dry shampoo that “texturizes, amplifies and refreshes,” according to the can. I wasn’t overly impressed with this when compared to some of the other dry shampoos I’ve used.

Would I repurchase? No.

Mustaev Maxi Volume Mascara

I didn’t really “use this up,” I am throwing it away because I opened it in May. I’m not usually so good with throwing my products out when I should, but this mascara felt like it was perhaps drying, so I decided it was for the better! This mascara is one of my top favorites alongside DiorShow. It does it all for me – lengthens, volumizes and curls.

Would I repurchase? Yes. In fact, I have a back-up tube already!

Prescriptives Magic Liquid Powder

Raise your hand if you miss this powder from Prescriptives! This translucent powder went on and gave a super subtle glow and felt absolutely neat going on – it is a powder substance but it felt cool to the touch as you applied it. I tossed my jar because I’ve had it for too many years, and the cooling, liquid effect was gone. I have so many other powders and highlighters that I don’t need to use this older powder. But it kills me to toss it, because I have a sentimental connection to it – I bought this jar with some of the first money I was ever paid for doing bridal party makeup.

Would I repurchase? If I could, I would, but Prescriptives went out of business.

Caudalie Vine[Activ] Glow Activating Anti-Wrinkle Serum

I received a foil package sample of this serum and while it smells lovely and felt nice on my skin, one use does not a review make. So I’ll refrain judgement!

Would I repurchase? I would love to own anything Caudalie, I’m enamored with the brand but haven’t sprung for it yet because I’ve been favoring a smaller company’s natural products.

Sunday Riley C.E.O.

I’ve had samples of this in the past, I believe. Again, hard to make a judgement call on a foil sample package, which this was. But I’m also dying to try a vitamin C cream and this one has me intrigued. It smells nice and feels nice on, but that’s about all I feel equipped to say about it.

Would I repurchase? Yes, this is a creme I would spring for.

  • Jenalyn Pirosch

That Dove soap is my absolute favorite! I really like the Tigi dry shampoo as well, the scent isn’t too overpowering!

  • polarbelle

I found the Px powder at the CCO, I think it was last summer. And I don’t think I’ve used it yet. Lol

  • Ehmkay Nails

I’m still on the hunt for my dry shampoo. Amika was just okay for me.

I agree about CEO, it’s a very nice texture and smells pleasant 🙂

Girl, it takes me forever to finish anything. Kudos for getting so much polished off!

I absolutely adored Prescriptives Magic Powder. I was so sad when my last one dried and didn’t feel magic anymore. Estee Lauder needs to bring this back. I have a package of Garnier Micellar Wipes but they aren’t wet enough so they don’t do me much good. I mostly use it to remove swatches which is too bad since I wanted to love them.

Vit C is great for your skin, especially as we get older.
