One of the BEST parts about attending The Polish Convention is your opportunity to purchase nail polish from your favorite makers that is EXCLUSIVE to the event!
Check out some pics of KBShimmer’s Polish Con exclusives, “Bean There Done That” and “The Age of Aquarium.” If you’re not going, you’re going to want to find a mule!
Bean There, Done That
Bean There Done That is inspired by the chrome silver sculpture named Cloud Gate in Millennium Park. Although it’s more commonly known at ‘The Bean’ for its bean-like shape, this sculpture reflects the sky and surroundings, for a unique piece of art. KBShimmer’s take on the bean starts with micro holographic flakes that give this polish both a linear and scattered holographic look. There’s an added touch of color-shift shimmer to allow a hint of blue and pink to pop at various angles. Shown above in two coats, this is a gorgeous take on the silver holographic.
I traveled to Chicago often at my last job, and have visited The Bean. I wish I had a photo to capture that moment!
The Age Of Aquarium
The Age of Aquarium is inspired by Chicago’s Shedd Aquarium! Shedd features both salt water and fresh water attractions and is one of the largest aquariums in the country. Like the deep waters of the attractions, this darkened teal shade features KBShimmer’s holo-glow flakes and a fun purple shimmer like glistening fish swimming through the sea. It shifts from blue to teal to green and purple – it’s stunning! Some of my pics are purposely left blurry so you can see the shimmer, holo and shift of this polish as I tried to capture it on my camera! This is gorgeous!!! I am wearing it in two coats.
Kiss My Butkus You Ditka
I don’t have swatches of this one because KBShimmer is only offering this polish as part of the Polish Con Chicago VIP Bag! A limited amount of this polish will be available starting at 2 p.m. at Polish Con. This navy blue, nearly Chicago Bears-blue polish is loaded with linear and scattered holographic sparkle, and micro orange glitters perfect for any Bears fan.
These are two gorgeous holo polishes and I want to know – who’s going to Polish Con, and adding these to their shopping list?! Who is crying wishing they COULD go?! ME.
The Polish Convention is an event celebrating and exclusively featuring indie nail polish brands, and it is returning to its hometown of Chicago on September 23rd at Navy Pier, Festival Hall! The bi-annual Polish Con, hosted by Ever After Polish and Great Lakes Lacquer, is expecting its largest locale for Polish Con so far, filled with more than 30 local and international amazing vendors selling nail polish and nail polish accessories. There will also be live demos, tutorial tables and meet-and-greets with favorite brand owners and creators.
