I raved about these lippies in my latest current favs video on YouTube, so I am excited to share with you the Pixi By Petra GelTint & SilkGloss duos!
Each one – there are three – has a lip stain on one end, and a gloss on the other. Except the “stain” end of it is gel, which makes the formula less “liquidy,” and more “cushiony.”
I find that these dual-ended lippies come in a nice packaging, with the signature spring green of Pixi’s brand in the center and sturdy clear plastic for each end. The applicators are the same on each end: a long, flat doe foot applicator.
As I mentioned, there are three different shades:
BerryTint & SweetGloss – a rosy mauve GelTint and pinky nude SilkGloss
PinkTint & PrettyGloss – A vibrant yet soft pink GelTint and light pink SilkGloss with subtle pink flecks of shimmer. They’re too fine to call glitter.
Check out swatches – for each pair, the left is the GelTint and right is the SilkGloss:
Left to right: BerryTint & SweetGloss, BeachTint & FreshGloss and PinkTint & PrettyGloss.

Before I tell you about wear and whether these are comfortable, check out how I wore each one!
BerryTint & SweetGloss
BeachTint & FreshGloss
PinkTint & PrettyGloss
My favorite for an everyday, neutral look is BerryTint & SweetGloss. But I love how summery and fresh PinkTint & PrettyGloss is. My absolute favorite, though? BeachTint & FreshGloss. There’s something about the combo that just screams summer to me!
How do they feel and wear?
These GelTints & SilkGloss duos go on very easily and as I mentioned earlier, the Tint end feels “cushiony.” It’s comfortable, and they don’t dry down … “dry,” like other stains do. They stain your lips but with a soft color, and a soft feeling.
The SilkGloss is a great formula. It’s not too slick, it’s not tacky, and the shades complement the tints very well. You can wear the tints and glosses alone or with each other, and I prefer together.
I found that these wore decently, with the stain of course outlasting the gloss but with no drying discomfort to my lips. I touch-up at lunch if I apply at 7 a.m./7:30 a.m.
Pixi GelTint & SilkGloss is a great way to jump back into the glossy pool from the matte trend! These retail for $12 and you can find them at Target or on the Pixi website.
Have you tried Pixi GelTint & SilkGloss yet? Which one appeals to you?
