There was a new brand to cover at The Makeup Show NYC this year – Note Cosmetics.
As with any newcomer – although while a newcomer to the US this brand is established in parts of Europe! – I wanted to know more. What differentiates them? What can we expect?
Especially because Note is going to be offered through Ulta’s online store any day now!
Highlighters and lip glosses are some of the brand’s hero products. I have to say, the highlighters swatch beautifully! They are pigmented, too. I picked one up in Honey Warm. More on that later in the post!
The lip glosses are infused with macadamia oil among other things. The brand also has liquid lipsticks and tube lipsticks.
The brand’s eye shadows come in pretty colors, as well – here’s a look at a few:
I could’t leave the booth without picking up a few things.
And they did provide us with their bronzer as part of our press sample bag at the show.
I haven’t used everything yet, so I’ve swatched everything to share that first, then I’ll share a couple looks using a variety of the products!
Terracotta Powder – Honey Warm (highlighter)
This highlighter is super pigmented. I had to be careful when using it as a highlighter because too much looks too dark on the places where light hits my face.
Terracotta Blusher in Oriental Pink (blush)
This blush is also highly pigmented and shimmers in a beautiful, pearly way.
Long Wearing Lip Gloss
On the left is the shade, Pink Nude and on the right is Candy. When used over Hard Candy Lip Primer Duo (glossy end), these did not feather on me, and they lasted about three hours before I needed to touch up. These are a bit tackier than I typically like but pretty and perfect for the glossy summer trend.
MatteMoist Lip Gloss in Sugar Kiss
I haven’t used Sugar Kiss yet but I can tell you that this is super pigmented. It stained my hand and that tells me this is going to be a good long-wearing option!
Here’s a look using Honey Warm Terracotta Powder and Pink Nude Lip Gloss:
While we wait for Note to come to Ulta, there are other options! You can pick Note up on Forever 21’s website, and by May 25th, the brand expects to be in Ricky’s NYC stores.
Also, you can search the Note website here. Prices range from $9 concealer to $15.95 for foundation, and $11.95 for bronzer to $8.95 for a lip gloss.
Have you ever heard of Note? Is this a brand you might check out?
Disclaimer: I received the bronzer for honest consideration in a press sample bag at The Makeup Show NYC, and I purchased the other products. Please visit my Disclosure tab for more information on how BeautyJudy.com keeps it real!
