I bought this.

I’m obsessed with lipstick – it doesn’t matter if it’s liquid or tube. Lip stains, creams, glosses, powders, balms. Matte, creamy, metallic. I love ALLLLLLL the lippies.

I am also all aboard when it comes to the metallic lip train, so it’s a no-brainer that these NYX Cosmetics Cosmic Metals Lip Creams came home with me while on a recent trip to Ulta – of course, it was an innocent trip where I was supposed to just pick up my new shampoo and conditioner…but we know how that goes…

Anyway! I picked up only two of these new lippies – Celestial and Galactic Love! NYX released a bunch of brown/neutral shades in the line – 6, to be exact!

Celestial on the left, Galactic Love on the right.

These lip creams are highly pigmented, and glide on the lips like a gloss. They did not feather.

I find the wear time to be impressive. Even with breakfast and a snack, by¬†lunchtime I’ve got five hours of wear time. While I need to touch up after eating lunch, I’m impressed there is still color and product on my lips at that point.

I forgot to take my usual lip swatch photos, so here are a couple full-face shots of me wearing these lippies. This is Celestial:

This is Galactic Love. I took pics with and without my glasses that morning!

I got mine cheaper because I had something like $12 in coupons, but these Cosmic Metals Lip Creams retail for $7.49 at Ulta, and $7.50 on the NYX site.

What do you think of the metallic lip trend? Have you tried NYX’s Cosmic Metals lippies yet?
