Disclaimer: I bought this.
One of my favorite stops at IMATS NYC was the bhCosmetics booth. I limited myself to two palettes, but I could have bought at least two more!
I’ve been on such a big blush and highlight kick lately that when I saw this Nude Blush 10 Color Blush Palette – and for $8 at the show – I had to give it a shot! (The other palette I bought was highlighters!)
The color range is universally flattering, ranging from pink, peach, nude and bronze. I have been using it nonstop since I purchased it last month!
These blushes come in a very flat, hard plastic case. It’s the longest blush palette I own. The slim design makes it easy for a makeup artist to pack choices into their makeup kit, or for the everyday consumer to travel light. Seems odd to say, but it’s just that slim!
I’ve used almost every shade so far, combining a couple to layer a look, and I am impressed that the color lasts all day, and each pan has proven blendable and pigmented.
Although some felt dry when I swatched them, it goes to show that actually using them is the true test!
Regardless, since I don’t have a ton of photos of me wearing these blushes (I really need to get better at writing down what I wore when I’m in the middle of reviewing a ton of stuff!) I have back-of-hand swatches to show the colors on my fair skin tone. Here’s the top row:
Left to right color descriptions: a terracotta pearl finish, salmon pink pearl finish, peach matte finish, nude matte finish and pinky nude matte finish.
The bottom row:
Left to right color descriptions: pink shimmer finish, mauve shimmer finish, light burgundy pearl finish, brown matte finish and bronze shimmer finish.
Here’s a couple shots of me wearing blushes from the palette…(excuse my crazy hair in that first photo but my regrowth after having post-natal hair loss has not been kind lol)
You can go heavy, you can go light. You can definitely control how much color you apply.
This palette is awesome for the price point – it’s currently listed on the bhCosmetics site here for $9.99! Only $1.99 more than the IMATS price, which is still a great deal! I believe it’s usually listed for $17, which again, is still a great deal when there are palettes with less choice for a LOT more than this!
I want to order the other two 10-color palettes of blush – Professional and Glamorous.
Have you tried bhCosmetics before? What do you think of this blush palette?!
