Although we’re heading into spring, and summer is around the corner, it’s important all year long to protect your skin from the sun and its harmful UV rays.

While the word “sunscreen” can conjure up the image of slathering your body with lotion 15 minutes prior to exposure…or spraying a sunscreen on while at the beach or pool, making sure your face is protected isn’t all that complicated, and I’ve put together a quick little list of my favorite ways to make sure I’m protecting my facial skin from early aging and skin cancer.

If you’re like me and you like as few steps in your skincare and beauty regimen, well, I hope you’ll like how easy it is to keep my skin safe everyday!

SPF Foundation

My favorite facial moisturizers lack sunscreen. And I don’t want to add a sunscreen moisturizer or change my go-to moisturizers. So instead, I reach for one of my favorite foundation products that already has SPF included among its ingredients.

IT Cosmetics Your Skin But Better CC+ Cream has SPF 50+ UVA/UVB Broad Spectrum Physical Sunscreen. It’s one of my Holy Grail, full coverage foundations for all seasons, so it’s always in reach. It doesn’t break down as easily as other cream or liquid foundations might throughout the day, so I feel protected! It retails for $38 and can be found here on the Ulta website.

Another great pick for me is Sweat Cosmetics SPF 50 Foundation. You can read more about Sweat’s foundation here, but basically this stuff is designed to perform and put up with your sweat. This foundation provides a lighter coverage and is a little darker than my actual foundation shade, which means it’s a perfect “summer” shade for me. This is a new introduction into my line-up of choices for sunscreen foundations, but I know this will come in handy for any outdoor event I have between April/May and September/October! Sweat foundation retails for $42 for the brush kit and $24 for refills, and you can find it here on Sephora’s site.

Quick and Easy Sunscreen Products

While my favorite and easiest way to protect my face from the sun is to use a foundation that has SPF in it, I’ve found a quick, easy way to get my SPF on without massaging a cream onto my face – Pixi Sun Mist. This new product from the brand has Broad Spectrum SPF 30, as well as chamomile and bamboo extract.

When I don’t wear a foundation that has SPF, this is the quickest, easiest way for me to add that layer of protection to my skin. I spray it on after I finish my makeup, and I can freshen it up throughout the day if I need to in a very easy manner. Sun Mist is going to be my best friend this summer earning a spot in my beach bag as well as my purse. I’ve been using it since February and I’ve been impressed with how light it feels. I purchased my Sun Mist at Target; it retails for $18 and you can find it here on the Pixi site.

Finally, Jane Iredale Powder-Me SPF 30 Dry Sunscreen has been a favorite of mine for a while. You can read my original review of it here. This powder is the perfect translucent topper to a liquid foundation or cream that doesn’t have SPF. It’s hardcore, too – water resistant for 40 minutes. I take the padded top off of it and apply the sunscreen with a fluffy brush. While I use translucent, you can get it in three total shades, and it retails for $47. Powder-Me can be found here.

How do you add sunscreen into your beauty routine? I’d love to hear!

Disclaimer: I received the Jane Iredale Powder-Me almost four years ago; I received the Sweat foundation a few months ago; both for honest consideration from the brand/PR. Please visit my Disclosure tab for more information on how keeps it real!
