A Lighter Clean for Warmer Weather: Dove Shower Foam

Dove Shower Foam
Dove is one of my favorite skincare brands. I keep Sensitive Skin Beauty Bars in my shower constantly, and Dove spray anti-antiperspirant in my medicine cabinet!

When I had the chance to try out this new Dove product, Shower Foam, I jumped. I have shower gels and a loofah, but most days I opt for the bar soap because it’s quicker and I wake up way too early (don’t we all, especially on work days?!).

Shower Foam is the brand’s first foaming body wash that has a soft, airy lather – which sounds perfect now that the weather has changed to warmer. It’s also super easy to use.

Shower Foam is formulated with NutriumMoisture(TM) technology which is a blend of nourishing ingredients – mostly stearic acid, a fatty acid found naturally in your skin – that helps nourish skin, support a healthy skin barrier, and aid in retaining moisture. The company says this technology penetrates the surface skin 10 layers deep.

For the cleansing action, Shower Foam contains gentle ingredients to cleanse.

Here’s one pump:

Dove Shower Fresh review Beautyjudy

Shower Foam lathers up nicely. I usually wash my upper body first, and I can do my upper body with two pumps. I use one pump per leg.

What I like about these Shower Foams is how I feel after cleansing with them. Soaps that I use from local soap makers  tend to make my skin feel “squeaky clean” for lack of better term. There are some shower creams and products that can make my skin feel too greased up. This product is just right. It seems like it helps to balance the moisture in my skin so that I’m comfortable after I step out of the shower.

Shower Foam comes in four choices:

  • Deep Moisture has a unique blend of cleansers. It smells so fresh and clean. I wish the scent lasted on my skin all day instead of just a couple hours.
  • Shea Butter with Warm Vanilla also has hints of sandalwood and musk, and I love breathing in this scent. I can still smell this on my skin after my shower for a little while. It makes the bath smell incredible as I shower.
  • Sensitive Skin is a hypoallergenic formula
  • Cucumber & Green Tea Scent is a familiar option in the Dove body care line. It’s a clean, crisp fragrance.

Dove Shower Foam is such a pleasant way to wake up in the morning because the first thing I do is shower. I love the scents, and how my skin feels after I step out of the tub.

These come in 13.5 fl oz pump bottles and retail for $5.97 where Dove is sold. I love having such great options that are drugstore prices.

Have you seen the Shower Foams? Picked them up and tried them? I’d love to hear your thoughts!
