Today is the first day of spring – hallelujah!!! Bring on the sunshine, flowers and warmer temperatures! I am NOT a fan of winter!

I’m feeling all sorts of soft colors right now, as well as glossy lips. This three-piece Pixi by Petra Hello Rose! set showed up at BeautyJudy headquarters JUST in time to let me indulge in that fresh-face look I’ve been craving.

Here’s what’s included:

You get a .4 fl oz Glow Booster in Pink Pearl, .4 fl oz LipLift Max in Sheer Rose and a .16 oz pan of blush/highlighter combo called Rose Gold.

Here it is blended out:

This has a very light scent I can’t quite place. It’s not roses, it’s not floral or sweet, I just can’t identify it. But it is light to me.

Glow Booster is made with vitamins A & E, and promises to restore “skin’s youthful glow” while helping to balance your facial hydration.

I found it to be very light and to blend to a very subtle glow. My skin did feel good with it on.

Beauty Blush Duo:

Both the blush and the highlighter are gorgeous colors. Instead of dusting my brush over the blush, like I normally would, I held the bristles and put pressure on it as I hit the pan with the brush, so that I would pick up more color. I tapped it gently and then applied it to my cheeks. If I didn’t do that, it would have taken longer to build up color on my cheeks. The highlighter was a little more sensitive to pick-up, and I was able to just brush over it to pick up enough to add a glow to the tops of my cheeks, bridge of my nose, under my brows and cupid’s bow.

The only downside to this kit is that in general, I can’t stand tiny blushes, and this is a tiny blush and highlighter duo meaning the blush is even tinier than a tiny blush. But I digress.

LipLift Max:

Phew – that’s a little blurry, sorry about that! So I’ve reviewed the LipLift Max lippies previously, and I was a fan. I love having one that’s got a hint of color like this, because the ones I have are lighter in shade and just provide a glossy, lifted look. Sheer Rose is a pretty way to amp up my natural lip color.

Here’s my completed look wearing all three products and little else:

The only other products I used here were foundation and mascara.

If you’re looking for a fresh spring look, the Hello Rose! kit from Pixi is a great choice. I think on darker skin tones that Beauty Blush Duo would be amazing.

This set is also perfect for travel, and a great way to try a variety of Pixi products before making the full-size committment.

This set retails for $22 and can be found here on the Pixi website, or here on the Target website.

Have you seen this set? Are you craving lighter shades for spring?
