One of my favorite makeup trends right now is highlighting. I’m obsessed with adding glow to my face, and I love finding iridescent and shimmery ways to do it!

While I like experimenting with duochrome highlights on the weekend, I still want to glow at my day job, but I turn down the volume.

Pixi Beauty by Petra did a beautiful collaboration with beauty and lifestyle blogger Aspyn Ovard – three beautiful Glow-y Powders – that allow me to have the highlight I desire but in a soft, feminine way!

Glow-y Powders include three shades; Rome Rose, which is a blush, and two highlighters London Lustre and Santorini Sunset.

I usually like to demonstrate wearing products, and I have worn these three, but I failed to take pictures. So I only have swatches, but definitely can share my experience wearing them!

From left to right is Rome Rose – a beautiful rose pink with a peachy-champagne shimmer; Santorini Sunset – a champagne shimmer; London Lustre – a bone shimmer.

Rome Rose

Rome Rose is a beautiful, buildable sheer wash of color to give my cheeks a flushed, fresh look. I like to add Santorini Sunset as my highlight with this blush, they coordinate well together! Rome Rose is velvety to the touch and applies easily and softly, and I had good wear time from morning to evening.

Santorini Sunset

Santorini Sunset is my favorite of the two highlighters! It’s a champagne-y color, but it looks slightly different to me. Almost as if there’s an added peach overtone? It’s stunning. And it just blends into my skin so well. These highlighters are not chalky or glittery, they are washes of glow where you want to draw attention in light – nose, top of cheeks are my favorite spots for this.

London Lustre

London Lustre is a more traditional shade of highlight for me, and it’s an everyday go-to. Just like Rome Rose and Santorini Sunset, it feels velvety to the touch. Both the highlight shades looked good from morning til end of day. The only place I really have wear is when I add it to my cupid’s bow.

I would highly recommend these three Glow-y Powders for the makeup lover that wants a soft, feminine glow and wasxh of color that’s buildable.

These retail for $16 and are available at Target and Pixi’s website here.

Have you tried these powders yet? What do you look for in your highlighter?!
