L’Oreal Infallible Paints in Taupeless

Disclaimer: I bought this.

I can’t help myself, when I see a new line of lippies, I feel like I need to try at least one.

So when I happened upon a display of L’Oreal Infallible Paints, I looked for one that didn’t look like one of the 89745984327509134256279854 other lippies I have at home and purchased it. I swear, I’m incapable of going to CVS and picking up a prescription without picking up a beauty goodie.

Anyway! The color I picked was a bit daring for me, called Taupeless.

It’s pretty. A true taupe, a greyed-out brown.

But did it make me look dead? Because shades like this tend to make me look dead. Which is why I didn’t think I had this shade among the 89745984327509134256279854 other lippies I have at home.

I think this one pulls slightly mauve-ish on me enough to not make me look like a zombie.

I would describe the product as a liquid lipstick, but it is glossy, not matte. It feels slick, which I like. I don’t like tacky lippies. It’s very pigmented.

The doe foot applicator has a sharp indent, which actually works well in applying the lipstick. I like it better than a usual doe foot applicator.

I wore this on a day off, so I didn’t apply it til later in the day, and for a shorter time period. I wore this for three hours before I had dinner, and the color remained pigmented and glossy. As I used a napkin to wipe my mouth at dinner, I did wipe off the lipstick. I was home, and didn’t bother reapplying. I feel like I could have gotten a good five or so hours out of this!

There are 14 shades in this line, and they retail for $9.99. I’ve seen them in the usual places where L’Oreal is sold.

Have you tried the Infallible Paints yet?

That is such a fun color! I love the shades that are almost “the usual”, but not. It’s fun to switch things up on occasion! 🙂 I need to try this formula soon!

Agreed, I like to try outside my comfort zone! The great thing is – its makeup, it wipes off if we don’t like it! So experimenting is easy!

It looks like a very interesting colour. I’m not sure I’d wear it though. It could be fun on but it’s not a shade I gravitate towards.

Me either! Glad I gave it a shot but surprised I put it on the internet, lol! 🙂

I love the living dead girl look! If It was cruelty free I’d buy it.

You pull it off so well!!! I adore your sense of style and makeup choices. my style is different – maybe quirky? Colorful? – so when I try it I don’t feel like it’s “me,” if that makes sense!

  • marciaf

Such an interesting color. You are so much braver than I am.

    • BeautyJudy

I don’t know about that! Hehe. But I couldn’t justify a pink or nude, my stash is ridiculous lol

  • Lisa Marie Heath

I haven’t seen these yet! That particular color usually doesn’t work for me, but it looks good on you!

    • BeautyJudy

Thanks – it’s a tough one to pull off!!

I might have to give these a try!

    • BeautyJudy

      The formula is nice!

  • polarbelle

You don’t look zombie-ish at all! It looks good one you….enough so that I’m wondering if I need it. I have a few of these and I like them but they’re all in my “safe zones”…pink, fuchsia, blush, mauve….

    • BeautyJudy

Ha! I really think I’d love this in a pink!
