Lorac I Love Brunch Pro Palette

I bought this.

The Ulta circular came in the mail last week, and I found myself wanting to circle a ton of spring stuff, from new foundations to this new lover – Lorac Cosmetics I Love Brunch Pro Palette.

When I saw the palette in person, I fell in love with the holographic packaging, the colors of spring in the palette, and the little bonus items that came with it – a primer and brush.

Just look at these shadows!

For $44, you get 16 shadows – all in hues that again, make me crave spring – as well as a mini Behind the Scenes Eye Primer and double-ended eye shadow brush. I will admit – the shadow pans are smaller than what I’m used to when I buy a palette.

The formula on these shadows, though – this is my first “pro” palette from Lorac and the shadows are velvety to the touch, decently pigmented when I swatched them on my hand, and from what I’ve tried, blend-able on the lid.

Here are back-of-hand swatches:

Bottom row, left to right: Mimosa (pastel orange matte), Smoothie (lavender pink satin), French Toast (taupe satin) and Sunday Funday (light coral satin).

The indication of a good palette buy is how quickly I get it on my peepers. I used this one right away.

Here’s the shadows I used:

And here’s my tutorial collage:

I used:

  • Behind the Scenes Eye Primer all over my lids up under my brows.
  • Avocado Toast all over my lid.
  • Blueberry Scone in my inner corner crease, blended out.
  • Valet in the outer corner crease and blended into Blueberry Scone and Avocado Toast.
  • Eggs Benny in the outer crease to give a little depth.
  • Gluten Free under brow to highlight, and blended with Valet and Blueberry Scone.
  • {Ultra-Violet} Amethyst from the Kat Von D Alchemist Holographic Palette in the inner corner of my eyes.
  • I topped it with Jesse’s Girl Fluid Shadow in My Blue Heaven as a liquid eyeliner and Too Faced Better Than Sex mascara.

These colors remind me once again that spring can’t come soon enough. I’m tired of the winter already 🙂

      Ugh me too!!!

  • polarbelle

I love the look you created. You really made the pastels pop. It swatches nicely too.

    • BeautyJudy

      Thanks!!!

  • marciaf

Spring personified. You did a beautiful look with this. I like how you used the Jesse’s Girl Liquid shadow for a liner. I’ll have to try that myself.

      Thanks Marcia!!

I love LORAC and I debated over this palette. I ended up skipping it b/c I don’t use pastels much, but there are a lot of pretty shades! I’m curious about the lippies in the collection too.

    • BeautyJudy

The lippies and the blushes, I had to know my limitations but I wanted to try it all lol

This palette looks so nice! I love Lorac.

Me too I am always pleased with them.

  • Allison @neversaydiebeauty

I love Lorac, and this looks like the perfect spring palette. The shades that you swatched on your hand look like they’d benefit from primer because they’re so much more pigmented on your eyes where I assume you used primer first?

    • BeautyJudy

Or I’m just that pale! 🙂 I did use primer on my lids and not on my hand and to be honest, the shadow Valet, for example, performed the same on my lid with primer than on my hand without it 🙂 and Avocado Toast is a bit brighter on my hand than on my lid with primer. So I’m not sure it really matters based on my experience. but now I’m curious so I’m going to add that collage later tonight 🙂 These are lighter shades but blendable and buildable.

Oh wow! This palette looks so pretty! I don’t own any Lorac palettes, but this one would be perfect for me!
