January empties post beautyjudy

I’ve decided to do an empties post for my last post of the month every month!

This is a bit of a challenge for me, because I don’t think I finish much makeup, but I decided to incorporate all aspects of beauty, including things in my shower and medicine cabinet like shower gels and dry shampoo. I am curious to see what I actually finish off, and to ruminate on whether I would buy it again. Hope you enjoy, and I’d love to hear in the comments what you emptied this month!

Pixi Makeup Melting Cleansing Cloths

BeautyJudy January Empties PIXI by Petra Makeup Melting Cleansing Clothes

These Pixi Makeup Melting Cleansing Clothes were the first item I used up this month. These cleansing clothes are gentle, formulated with chamomile, which helps calm the complexion. “Calming” is something I benefit from when using clothes, because my skin is sensitive.

I like that there are 40 wipes in the package, because for $10, I don’t want 20, that’s for sure!

Here’s a list of ingredients, from the Pixi website: Aqua, Sodium Chloride, Aloe Barbadensis Leaf Juice/Maltodextrin, Camellia, Japonica Seed Oil, Vitis Vinifera (Grape) Seed Oil, Argania Spinosa Kernel Oil, Peg-40, Hydrogenated Castor Oil, Hydrolyzed Jojoba Esters, Phenoxyethanol, Benzoic Acid, Dehydroacetic Acid, Polyaminopropyl Biguanide.

Would I buy another package? Probably not, but I wouldn’t say never. These did a great job for in a rush when I didn’t feel like a full face-wash before bed, but I have a bunch of other wipes to use up, so I’d feel guilty buying something new!

KBShimmer Picture Perfect Cuticle Cream in Gingerbread Men

BeautyJudy January Empties KBShimmer Picture Perfect Cuticle Gingerbread Men

I raved about KBShimmer’s Picture Perfect Cuticle Cream in a blog post earlier this month. So I won’t go into a ton of detail here except to say that I absolutely loved using the Gingerbread Men scent during the holidays! I purchased two other holiday scents, but this was my go-to. The others will be my winter scents! I also own Pink Sugar and Southern Belle (discontinued). For $4.50, best money spent for moisturized cuticles!

Would I buy another? Without hesitation, yes! ALL OF THE YES!

Dove Men+Care Clean Comfort Anti-Perspirant

BeautyJudy January Empties Dove Men + Care Clean Comfort Anti-perspirant

Nope. This isn’t my husband’s empty, it’s mine!

I’ve been using Dove aerosol deodorant for quite some time now, but a quick stop at a beauty shop in my local flea market, where everything is absurdly discounted and I’m not sure I want to know why, yielded me a bunch of these cans, including a men’s version, because…confession…I love men’s deodorant scents.

Would I buy another? Without hesitation, yes! I have already gone through so many cans of Dove deodorant, I would definitely buy this scent again.

KBShimmer Clearly on Top

KBShimmer Clearly on Top top coat empties on beautyjudy

I’ve been using KBShimmer Clearly on Top as my primary quick-dry top coat for more than two years now. My bottle got to the point this month where I had to struggle to get the top coat onto the brush to get it on my nail, which I consider killed. I refilled it with the larger bottle pictured in the review post I linked to on the product name. In this pic you can see there’s hardly anything left but in the large pic of my empties at the top the bottle is full – I took the pic after I refilled it!

Would I buy another? YES. I still have a lot left in the larger bottle, so I’m good for a while but I have a handful of Holy Grail top coats and this is my primary.

Garnier Fructis Style Shine Glossing Spray

Garnier Fructis Style Shine Spray beautyjudy

I don’t remember when I bought this but I’ve had a couple shine sprays in my hair style supplies but often reach for this Garnier Fructis Style Shine Glossing Spray. This spray is especially helpful after using dry shampoo to balance out the dullness of the powder. Ironic, since I’m using the dry shampoo to soak up natural oils. I also use this on my freshly washed hair in the morning, regardless of whether I scrunch and curl it, or straighten it. I like the fruity scent.

Would I buy this again? I’m not sure. It’s an inexpensive shine spray, so definitely a budget-friendly option. But I’d like to see what else I can find, and I’ve got another shine spray I haven’t started using yet that I picked up when I first got my hair dyed “rose gold” in December.

Definitely used a balance of nail, skin and hair care products this month, but not much! I’d love to know – do you keep track of the products you use up? What did you use up in January?

Disclaimer: I received the KBShimmer top coat for honest consideration from the brand in 2014. I purchased the rest of the products featured in this piece. Please visit my Disclosure tab for more information on how BeautyJudy.com keeps it real!
