I’m a sucker for a nail polish that does tricks – multichrome, flakies, holographic, iridescent, strong shifting shimmer, duochrome, texture – you name it, I love it.
When I spotted Target’s defy & Inspire nail polish brand spring collection, my eyes immediately picked out Rock of Love, one of 12 bright and happy shades, as my must-have hue.
Rock of Love is a beautiful dusty baby blue with a strong copper shimmer. The shimmer is SO strong on this. It IS a shade/shimmer dupe for China Glaze Pearl Jammin, which I own, but that doesn’t matter. This is one of those unique polishes that I feel I must have ALLLLLLLLLL THE PRETTIES.
Plus, I like the defy & Inspire formula as much as China Glaze.
By the way, the spring collection has a great “reality TV” naming theme, and I’m in particular in love with the name, “Rock of Love.” Keeping reading. You’ll see why…
Check this pretty out. First, a boring in the shade shot, followed by sunlight shots!
Look at how much that shimmer burns in the light!!! So gorgeous!!!
I used two coats, and you can see some visible nail line on my nails. Although I usually prefer opaque coverage, this was not so visible that I was inclined to put a third coat down.
Rock of Love was easy to apply, and just stunning.
Rock of Love will be available soon at Target! It will retail for $7.49.
And because I love you guys, let me take it back some years. This was Mike and I at Halloween, one of our first years together, as Bret Michaels and Heather from the first season of “Rock of Love.” It was the only reality TV show we ever watched together, back when I was a reality TV junkie:
I mean, is there anything to say after a photo like that?! I’d love to hear your thoughts on Rock of Love in the comments!
