I am still obsessed with the matte liquid lipstick trend. I love that the industry is evolving the product, so now we’re getting metallic finishes. It’s just so helpful to have a lipstick that doesn’t transfer or leave gloss on my daughter when I kiss her a million times before leaving her at daycare!
Sephora Cream Lip Stain delivers on the long-lasting promise of a matte liquid lipstick, with a nice balance from added avocado oil. I recently tried #13, Marvelous Mauve. It smells faintly sweet, but not overbearingly so. The color is absolutely perfect for fall and winter.
This lippie is a product I would buy in a different shade, or repurchase in this shade.
While it dries matte and is for lack of a better term, “dry,” it didn’t make me reach for lip balm.
It lasted for hours until I ate a lunch with oil and the oil broke down the lipstick in the middle of my lips. Just a quick touch-up and I was good to go the rest of the day. I was actually excited to write about this that day, knowing how pleased I was with it!
I experienced no feathering with this lipstick, something I worry about more now that I’m getting older.
Sephora Cream Lip Stains, all 14 of ’em, are in stores or online here retailing for $14 each. You get 5 mL of lipstick for your money.
What do you think? Have you tried this line if Sephora lippies? Something you would like? I know not everyone loves a matte liquid lipstick but I continue to love this trend.
