kleenex cotton pads and eye makeup remover pads review on BeautyJudy

A couple months ago, I started reviewing two new Kleenex facial cleansing products and I’m at the point where I can officially say: These are permanent additions in my beauty routine – in many different ways!

Cotton Soft Pads

First up, Cotton Soft Pads ($4.99 for 85 pads) are a micro-fine fabric textured to be as soft as cotton when you use them against your skin, but without the lint of a cotton ball.

Billed by Kleenex as a “5-in-1 beauty tool,” I put them to the test on a variety of projects:

  • Cleansing my face with or without makeup
  • Removing eye makeup with oil-free remover
  • Taking off nail polish
  • Cleaning off my arm after swatching eye shadows, lipsticks and eyeliners
  • Using them with alcohol as prep pads for doing Jamberry and gel polish manis
  • Correcting mistakes while applying dark lipstick
  • Cooling face when I had a fever

On every test, these cotton pads held up beautifully. Especially on nail polish remover. I didn’t need a handful of cotton balls, which I usually use, just one pad.

If you’ve followed for a while, you know I have rosacea. These are gentle enough to clean my skin without irritation, including my eyes.

Moist Eye Makeup Removers

These Moist Eye Makeup Removers are definitely my new Holy Grail eye makeup removers. But they are so much more useful than this!

First – the removers come in a refillable, sturdy, easy-to-open but secure container. Initially the cost is $9.99 for the container and 60 removers, but it’s only $4.99 to refill them with 60 removers!

I used these for:

  • Removing my eye makeup (duh!)
  • Removing long lasting liquid lipstick
  • Cleaning my arm off of eye shadow, lipstick and eyeliner swatches
  • Refreshing my eyes after a long day of working and commuting from NJ to/from NYC.

I am dangerously low on these remover pads, and I’m placing an order this week for two refills and I want to try the brand’s Moist Facial Cleansing Wipes, because I’ve had so much success with the Cotton Soft Pads and Moist Eye Makeup Removers!

Before I wrap up, I wanted to share with you my experience cleansing my face. I did eye makeup, and had a dirty face full of makeup hours and hours old.

I used a Cotton Soft Pad soaked with micellular water, and the Moist Eye Makeup Remover pads to cleanse my face.

I was SHOCKED at how effectively these removed my day.

Something else I’ve noticed using these two products is that I cut down on the amount I have to use. One Cotton Soft Pad effectively cleans my face and usually I only need one Moist Eye Makeup Remover pad for my eyes.

The only bummer about these products are their availability. You do have to visit the Kleenex site to purchase them but I’m crossing my fingers we will see these products in our drugstores soon.

But seriously. for me to order online for my new eye makeup remover pads when there are so many choices in the drugstore beauty aisles…you know I’m serious about this! Check my Insta for my new loot when my order gets in!

Have you tried these Kleenex products yet? I’d love to hear your thoughts.

  • Allison @neversaydiebeauty

I think the Moist Eye Makeup Remover pads sound interesting. I’m just afraid they’ll dry out before I get to the bottom of them. Also, my sensitive eyes are so finicky that many EMRs sting. I hope they’ll come out with some sample/travel size packs so I can try it out before buying a whole pack.

    • BeautyJudy

Hi Allison! I have been using the container for more than two months, and they are no where near dry. The container that holds them is sturdy and designed for long-term use (it’s refillable). I have rosacea, eczema and sensitive skin all around and my eyes and mouth do remarkably well with these wipes – no tingling or breakouts, itchiness or pain. I definitely understand the concern about sensitivity, though, we are all different. Here’s the ingredients in the makeup remover pads: Water/Aqua, Isopropyl Palmitate, Steareth-2, Aloe Barbadensis Leaf Juice, Phenoxyethanol, Sodium Benzoate, Malic Acid, Potassium Soyate, PPG-5-Ceteth-20, Betaine, Panthenol, Tetrasodium Glutamate Diacetate, Fragrance, Polysilicone-20, Tocopheryl Acetate, Sodium Hydroxide
