Today I have swatches of the Zoya Flair collection for fall – you can find my swatches of Focus here!
Flair is a set of metallic – or liquid metal, as Zoya says – colors that complement the cremes of Focus.
Check out swatches!
Tris is described as a blackened, brushed nickel liquid metal. I like the dimension in this one. This is shown in two coats; has some brush strokes.
Cinnamon is described as a classic bronze liquid metal, originally designed for Zang Toi NYFW (fall/winter 2015). This is one of my favorites from the Flair collection! Shown in two coats. There are brush strokes in this one. But it applied great and has a lot of pigmentation.
Estelle is described as a blue on blue liquid metal with a blackened base. So I got a cotton ball piece stuck in my pinky – so sorry about that! For some reason Estelle is unforgiving of the flaws on my nails – the ridges where my nail bed has peeled on my index and middle finger. When I wear her, I’m going to wear a ridge-filling base coat because this blue is a stand out. I swatched in two coats; formula was great; some brush strokes.
Giada is described as a purple liquid metal with a hint of fuchsia pearl. Giada is another of my favorites of this collection. This is one polish that shows the pearl more on the nail than in the bottle – she’s a stunning purple!!! Shown in two coats, easy to apply, minimal brush strokes.
Aggie is described as a gold holo-flip, liquid metal with bronze micro glitter. Zoya says Aggie is sheer enough for layering with one coat or fully opaque in three coats. My swatch with with two coats. Some brush strokes, but again, a great, pigmented formula. This reminds me of Chanel Peridot but with microglitter. I’m not sure what “holo-flip” means but it seems more duochrome to me!
Ember is described as a deep, fiery red liquid metal with enough blue to be wearable for all skin tones. Swatched here in two coats. This was one of the smoothest ones to apply!
Overall, without top coat, the collection has some brush strokes, as metallics tend to have. The color palette is great for fall; my favorites are Giada, Cinnamon and Estelle. I also love Aggie!
The Flair collection is available here on the Zoya website. Each polish retails for $9 or you can purchase the whole set for $54. Also available is a mini set that comes with a mini Color Lock system and free shipping for $30.
