My everyday makeup routine has really been down to basics the last few months: foundation, blush, lippie. Sometimes, brow gel and powder depending on the foundation – and if I’m feeling fancy, I’ll contour with bronzer.
Because blush has become such an important part of my everyday routine vs. what I choose to coordinate with my eye makeup, I was excited to try Sephora Colorful Blush in So Shy! and this full-coverage brush, #53, from the Sephora Pro collection.
First up, descriptions of both, then a look and thoughts!
Colorful Blush in So Shy!
According to the Sephora website, Colorful Blush is a buildable coverage blush that comes in satin, matte and shimmer finishes. They have a sheer texture that Sephora says blend into the skin without caking.
There are 18 shades of Colorful Blush. You can find these in Sephora stores or online here. They retail for $15 a piece.
Pro Full Coverage Airbrush #53
According to the Sephora website, the unique shape of this brush allows for application to a larger area of your face, and is designed to create a full-coverage, smooth, flawless, no-makeup look. It is made with Naturon synthetic fibers that promise to apply product smoothly without streaking, but are flexible enough for even blending.
Sephora’s site also describes the Naturon fibers as “made from a synthetic PBT and feature waves and pointed tips to emulate natural fibers. They have been treated with an antibacterial treatment.”
The brush retails for $38 and can be found at Sephora and online here.
How did they perform together?
So Shy! has become my everyday blush, and brush #53 is how I have been applying multiple blushes since I received it. It’s safe to say that I would most definitely purchase more shades of this blush, and if I need to replace this brush, I will!
The blush holds up all day long, and I have gotten good at achieving an even more work-friendly application than in my photos above, giving me a nice natural makeup look.
The brush is easy to use, although I’d never used anything that shape before. I like the coverage it affords my larger cheek area.
I’ve been overall impressed with the professional line of Sephora brushes, I have some from last year that are awesome. I also think I tend to ignore Sephora-branded cosmetics when I shop there, because I’m usually shopping for the latest from one of my favorite brands like Urban Decay or Make Up For Ever. But Sephora puts out a quality product at a better price point. I want to try their Luster Matte Long-Wearing Lip Color. I’ve heard great things and I’m obsessed with these types of lippies!
Anyway! Have you tried Colorful Blush or any of the Sephora Pro brushes? Would you?
