OK so today’s swatches are all over the place with the neons in KBShimmer‘s Summer 2015 collection!
When you’re trying to photograph neon polishes, things can get a little crazy!
First – check out how these beauties look in the sun above, and then in indirect light here:
I think this photo is much more representative of the hues of these beautiful bleached, neon cremes for summer!
Let’s just jump right in, because I’m obsessed with neon right now – it was hot for several days – in the 80’s – all last week and over the weekend, and that just makes me excited for the bright colors of summer!
For Sail By Owner:
For Sail By Owner is a juicy lime creme. I wore this in three coats. It looked a little streaky after two. I wore it for three days – what amazing brightness.
Dust in the Bottle:
Dust in the Bottle is a fine, sparkly holographic dust top coat. I added one coat here to For Sail By Owner.
Lei It Again:
Lei It Again is an electric pink creme – I swatched this one in three coats because it was a little streaky, and I wanted to get it opaque with no balding. This is one I could not quite capture when it comes to the pinkness! My cameras and lighting muted it just a bit! I love it.
Bahama Drama is a near-neon deep peach creme. I wore this in two coats. Great formula. I wore this for three or four days with minimal tip wear.
Leggo My Mango:
Leggo My Mango is a creamsicle orange creme – this one was so hard to capture! It’s a little bit more brighter than muted, I tried every camera, every lighting and I could not get it perfect! It’s beautiful, though!
Rum Me the Right Way:
Rum Me the Right Way is a highlighter yellow creme. It’s opaque in two coats, but I might do a third for good measure when I wear it.
In Yacht Water:
In Yacht Water is a Caribbean blue creme with hints of aqua; this one really complements the other brighter shades. I swatched it in two coats.
Sarong Place, Sarong Time:
Sarong Place, Sarong Time is a vibrant purple creme. I swatched this in two coats, formula was great.
The only polish I don’t have is Precious Petals, which is a glitter top coat with neon pink, purple, white and aqua glitters, as well as a fine holographic dust. I’m not sure why I didn’t pop this into my cart, but now I have a reason to place an order!!
Overall I LOVE these neons. Sure, I have colors I like more than others but I love these as a set. I caught up on swatching this past weekend, so I can consider what kind of fun nail art I can do with these beauties!
If you missed it, here’s my first review from this collection: Ultra Chrome and Metallic Flakies review.
Are any of these neons going into your cart this Friday?! What about the toppers?!
