Memorial Day weekend is over and the unofficial start of summer has begun!
So now that beach season (or shore season, as we call it in Jersey!) has begun, it’s just as important to remember the SPF for your lips as it is for the rest of your body!
Jane Iredale recently launched its LipDrink Lip Balm – which includes SPF 15 – in two tinted shades that make it easier to sport SPF AND add a nice hint of color to your summer face of the day.
Bottom is original LipDrink; middle is new Buff, a sheer nude; and top is Crush, a sheer berry.
All three LipDrink lippies have a refreshing lemon scent – it reminds me of lemon water ice!
Jane Iredale says that each balm contains a variety of waxes and oils to provide moisture as well as protection; each also contains a blend of antioxidants, green tea extract and vitamins E and C.
Left to right: original LipDrink, Buff and Crush.
I find LipDrink applies easily and smoothly, and has the feeling of a light coverage – it doesn’t mask my lips in a heavy coating of balm; in a couple swipes, I’ve got a hydrated feeling.
Here’s a personal tip for even more refreshing lip SPF protection and hydration in summer: If I’m going to the beach for a few hours, I almost always bring a small lunch bag cooler with me that has a water for hydration; I like tossing my LipDrink or other lip balm in the cooler bag so it’s even more refreshing when I reapply it throughout my exposure to the sun!
LipDrink retails for $15 and can be found on the Jane Iredale website here, or at select skin care specialists and apothecaries worldwide.
Have you ever used LipDrink? Do you remember your SPF for lips along with your body?
