I don’t shy away from color in my makeup looks – not even at my corporate day job! But there are sometimes when I love a natural, fresh-faced look, and I had to share a look I did with five Pixi by Petra products last week!
For this look, I used the following products.
Sheer Cheek Gel in Rosy
This is a lightweight gel blush that provides a flush of color that can be built up. It lasted all day! It can also be used on the lips. You get 12.75 g of product for $18 – find this shade – Rosy – and others here.
Large Lash Mascara
This mascara does a great job of giving me volume and great color, and builds up over coats. I use about three coats, and I use it as my new go-to mascara. It doesn’t have fall-out – so no raccoon eyes! The brush is an oversize shape, and I am happy I can get at my little lashes in both corners of my eyes! This retails for $16 and can be found here in two colors – I tried Bold Black.
Fairy Dust Favourites in Light Catchers
Fairy Dust Favourites in Light Catchers is a set of five shimmery neutral, gemstone-hued pigments. You can use these as eye shadow, but some are also great as a highlighter on your face. They can even be mixed into nail polish! I found these easy to use and blend, and I love that they are stackables! This came out for holiday, and is retails for $12 – it’s still available here!
Crayon Combo in Super Smokey
This double-ended eyeliner has a thick pencil, and a thinner pencil in coordinating shades of smoke – the thicker pencil is a gunmetal shade and the thinner is black. The idea is to use the gunmetal along the top of the lid and the black along the bottom, and to smoke it out for a smokey eye look. This pencil is handy, but it did rub off into my crease a little – stupid hooded eyes! It can be found for $18 here, in a bunch of shades!
Tinted Brilliance Balm in Lucent Glow
Lucent Glow is a delicate, sheer shimmer for the lips. This one doesn’t stain like some of the other Tinted Brilliance Balms do. It’s much more muted than I usually go for, but like I said, it’s nice to switch it up and go for a fresh face. This is $14 and can be found on the Pixi site here.
So you put it altogether and you get:

Have you ever just wanted a fresh look? Or maybe that’s your preference?
What’s your favorite part of a fresh-face look? Mine is probably the pop of color in the cheeks. It really pulls everything together!
