Bar glitter. How do you feel about it?
Personally, I don’t mind it. But I’ve had friends with visceral reactions to it! One described it as armpit hair, or the hair that falls out when you trim your eye brows. Those people should probably stop reading this review, then!
Color Club is launching Fiber Optics, four bar glitters in a mini set. It’s one of the brand’s Limited Series Micro Batches polishes! Let’s check them out!
I swatched them over China Glaze Conduct Yourself (burgundy) and almost all of them over LVX Macaroon (light peachy beige).
Watt’s Up is silver bar glitter in two sizes in a clear base. The larger bars remind me of confetti on New Year’s Eve. I used one thick coat, I didn’t find this too labor intensive in terms of getting even coverage over the nail.
Electric Spark is one size gold bar glitter in a clear base. With both this and Watt’s Up, I did pat the glitter around near the cuticle for best coverage but again, nothing labor intensive to get this coverage – and it’s only one go, not two.
Neon Static is my favorite of the foursome! It’s smaller bar glitters mostly in white but also in other colors, as well as larger bar glitter in matte neon shades. It’s such a fun pop of color!
Wired is as black and white bar glitter – white glitters are larger than the dark ones. Maybe it’s having a friend that compared bar glitter to armpit hair…but I find the black bar glitter in this a bit like little pieces of hair on my nail. I just don’t like this one.
Overall, I was impressed with application and coverage of these four glitters!
These aren’t on the Color Club website yet! But this is the site, when they do go live.
What do you think of this set?! I’d love to hear your thoughts!
