I would say the most buzzed about booth at Cosmoprof North America Las Vegas last month had to be Tattoo Junkee.

Tattoo Junkee, which is exclusively sold in Walmart right now, is a new kid on the block when it comes to body art and glitter. The makers of the pro body art line G The Body Art Professional (see the photo above – gorgeous work!) wanted to translate their fun glitter body art for the consumer, and so they came up with Tattoo Junkee.

The brand was offering applications of its two star products – glitter body art tattoos and glitter lips – to attendees, and everyone walked around, sparkling.

The brand offers body art kits, and sells separately brushes for applying the glitter and brushing off excess, glitter, glue and body jewelry accents. It even sells stencils separately.

Tattoo Junkee makes matte tattoos, as well.

Another popular and awesome product they make? Long-lasting glitter lips. But I’ll review and go over that in a separate post (you KNOW I love this!)

Longevity?

I received a complimentary application of a glitter tattoo during my booth tour. I choose the “be happy…” design, and when asked, I opted for pink and purple glitter.

First, after cleaning the area on my forearm that I asked for my tattoo, my artist laid down the stencil, which is a fabric texture designed to allow intricate tattoos:

Then, she brushed on the body glue:

After applying the glue, she immediately removed the stencil from my arm.

After giving the glue a moment to set, she brushed on the two glitter colors:

She used another brush to brush away the excess, and ta-da, I had a temporary, waterproof and long-lasting glitter tattoo!

I was shocked at how it held up. Of course it looked best in the first few days. Here it is on day 4:

And here it is on day 7, when I finally scrubbed the rest off, compared with day 1 on top:

I did receive a sample body art kit to try at home:

But I loved this so much, I went out and bought more supplies:

I had to have that “be happy…” tattoo again!

Everything in the Tattoo Junkee line has a price point of less than $20. You can shop the entire line on Tattoo Junkee’s website, as well as at Walmart – here’s the link to the body art section. I searched for the brand on Walmart’s website and it didn’t come up, so it looks like it’s only in stores.

So what do you think about Tattoo Junkee? I was surprised how much I enjoyed my glitter tattoo, and I can’t wait to do another one soon! I’ll do another post to share more about the glitter lips!
