Milani Color Statement Nail Polish Nail Art

Milani released the new Color Statement Nail Lacquer line, and it is packed with 37 pretty colors!

I started playing with them in the last week and a half, and I’ve got a couple nail-of-the-day pictures that I’d love to share with you!

While I want to do a proper review on these polishes to have an archive of swatches for you, that will admittedly take me a little bit! So I’ll share the swatches (I’ve broken them down in to six blog posts, I think it is) over the next while, and I’ll supplement with nail art posts, because I find them so far easy to use for manis.

First up!

I used for the nail art:

  • Color Statement Nail Lacquer in Peri-Wink (blue/lilac) and Sugar Plum
  • Nail Vinyls chevron design

I was disappointed that on a couple nails I didn’t cover the base color completely but I LOVED how this turned out and I received a lot of compliments on this mani! I never do a mani for someone else’s praise, but I have to say, it is so nice when you feel so happy with a design, and other people comment on it!

I wore this mani for two days, with Color Statement Quick Dry Top Coat as my topper. I didn’t have a whole lot of tip wear, and I had no chips.

For this mani I used:

  • Color Statement Nail Lacquer Lovely Amethyst as a base, the middle of each dotticure flower is Spotlight White, and the flower petals are Hot Pink Rage, Blue Print and Tattle Teal.

I loved this one too! Lovely Amethyst had some brush stroke issues, though.

I also topped this one with the Quick Dry Top Coat and had no issues. I wore this mani for a day.

You can tell from my nail art that these polishes I’ve tried so far are pretty well pigmented and easy to work with for nail art.

The Color Statement lacquers are starting to pop up in drug stores like CVS, but they’re also available on Milani’s website here. They retail for $3.99.

Have you tried any of the new Color Statement polishes yet?! What do you think?
