JESSICA fall 2014 Autumn in New York collection of nail polish swatches and review on BeautyJudy

I have to admit, there is a short list of brands that I can’t WAIT to see what they do for fall and spring. Those are my seasonal collection favorites. JESSICA is one of those brands.

This fall, JESSICA is releasing the Autumn in New York collection, inspired by founder Jessica Vartoughian’s love of, and observations in, New York City.

If you’ve ever been to NYC, you know that there is so much that is fascinating and eye catching about the city, but the colors, to me, demonstrate a more sophisticated side of the city that I don’t see just walking around Times Square. You have to really get to know the city, to paint her like this!

Check out some swatches!

Soho in Love:

Soho in Love is a beautiful, pale pink that has great nude undertones to it. Formula is a creme, which is something JESSICA does great. It’s slightly different from the typical pale pinks I would go for, and by pale I don’t mean, “sheer.” This polish is opaque in two coats!

NY State of Mind:

NY State of Mind is a beautiful, blue-toned steel gray creme. Shown here in two coats. Great color, when you think about the architecture and skyline of the city!

Broadway Bound:

Broadway Bound is a beautiful, bright red with red shimmer. It’s almost coral-leaning. Shown here in two coats, I think red is a great shade to represent Broadway!

Mad for Madison:

Mad for Madison is a beautiful, espresso brown creme. Shown here in two coats. Grab a coffee from one of the gazillion NYC coffee shops and take a stroll along the shops on Madison Ave.!

Meet at the Plaza:

Meet at the Plaza is a beautiful evergreen type of green. I love how we go from minty, or neon greens in summer, to dark, pine-y, wrap-me-up-in-a-sweater-by-the-fire greens in fall! Shown here in two coats.

Blue Harlem:

Blue Harlem is a stunning, deep blue. Shown here in two coats. This blue has a hint of purple, but it’s definitely a cool-night hue.

Overall, this collection is classy and sophisticated. The polishes applied very easily, all were two coaters. My favorites are Blue Harlem, Meet at the Plaza and Soho in Love.

JESSICA polishes are available through the brand’s website here, and retail for $8.40.You can also go directly to the collection here.

Do any of these JESSICA polishes pique your interest? Any must-haves?! I’d love to hear!
