I don’t know about you, but when warmer – OK, let’s be real – when hotter weather hits, I crave the coverage of a foundation without the heaviness. I have no issues wearing my Holy Grail face makeup all-year-round, but there are times that I just want something light – just enough to even out my skin tone – for a summer activity like outdoor brunch with friends.
Pixi Beauty has launched a product to fit that need – H20 Skin Tint. This “tinted face gel” moisturizes, smooths and corrects. It’s a gel-textured tinted moisturizer that offers lightweight coverage that builds, to even out skin tone and give it a fresh and healthy look, according to a press release.
Ingredients like deep sea water, rose water, camellia extract and lavender extract treat and protect skin.
With my rosacea, I’m always skeptical. Because…
I have a lot to even out, folks. I took this photo actually the day after I first used Skin Tint, so it’s very much how my skin looked prior to trying this out!
I was happy to try this, though. I’ve been enjoying Pixi products so far. So I used No. 1 Cream, which had been sent over to me for review. It also comes in Nude and Warm; one downside of this product is that it’s not a very diverse shade selection, unfortunately.
It’s got a pump on the tube – I LOVE the packaging.
Here’s a pump on the back of my hand, then lightly rubbed in, then a comparison of it blended into my hand (on the right) and nothing on the left:
And here is how it looks – this is all I used for my face, except some blush and a lip gloss (and brow gel!):
This product DOES even out my skin tone, and it applies pretty easily with the brush. I do get greasy looking in the early afternoon so I blot my skin with blotting papers and touch it up if I have time.
I’ve been wearing Skin Tint a LOT and it has become my light coverage go-to when I’m not wearing my Holy Grail foundation and correcting combo.
Have you seen this at Target? Have you tried it? I’d love to hear what you think!
