Obsessive Compulsive Cosmetics Founder David Klasfeld said he wanted to play with the traditional idea of a summer collection when he set out to create the summer Dune Generation Stained Gloss Lip Tar collection.
Drawing inspiration from the sci-fi hit, “Dune,” and the idea of vacation in otherworldly places, David created Lip Tar shades that are reminiscent of dunes, desert plains and mirages.
Check these beauties out! First shown in sunlight, second indoors:
From left to right: Nomad, Aurora, Concubine, Hedonist, Off World and Dune.
And here’s individual swatches!
Nomad is described as a maroon with golden shimmer laced through. This one is beautiful for fall and winter, too!
Aurora is a pink-toned coral. This one was perfection with my skin tone.
Concubine is a warm plum neutral. Perfect work hue!
Hedonist is a neon pastel pink. I love this one on, and I’ve been also using it as a base coat for glitter lips!
Off World is a pearlescent lilac shimmer. This is one of my favorites, I love the shimmer and the color.
Dune is a champagne gold shimmer. I wore Dune with other colors in the collection; I can’t pull it off by itself.
I really like the Stained Gloss Lip Tar formula. While opaque, they are at the same time gel-like in texture and perfect for summer! The collection has been available online at OCCMakeup.com and Sephora.com, but will be available starting this Friday at Sephora locations. Each Lip Tar retails for $18 a piece.
Have you ordered any of these yet? What do you think? Are there any must-haves here for you?!
