I’m so ready for summer. So, so ready!
When I look at the Zoya Tickled collection all lined up in a row, my mind wanders. I think of time spent in my cousin’s pool with a drink in my red Solo cup, a beach ball, and the boardwalk. Does nail polish ever evoke memories for you, too?!
According to Zoya’s creative director Rebecca Isa, the Tickled – and Bubbly! – collections for summer are “color inspired by the fashion, sun, jewelry and culture of South Beach!”
For the Tickled collection, we get six well-pigmented, full coverage creme polishes. Check out swatches!
Ling
Ling is a true blue creme. One of my favorites from this collection – it was nearly opaque in one coat but I used two. It’s so close to the blue I use in my “BeautyJudy.com” watermark. I’m so obsessed with blue!
Tlilda
Tilda is a mantis green creme – this one reminds me of Kermit the Frog, no lie! Another one that glided on opaque in two coats.
Rooney
Rooney is described as a “Hollywood” pink creme. It was opaque in two coats. Rooney is pretty, but I could take or leave it. I wish maybe we’d gotten a yellow creme instead, considering there’s three pinks in this set. I prefer the other two pinks to this one, I think.
Kitridge
Kitridge is a carnation pink creme; it’s got a bit of a bubble gum look. I like this look for summer, especially against tan skin! I had a little trouble with this one, it pooled for me a bit at the cuticles and seemed thinner than say, Rooney. But it was the first one I swatched, and I waited until my base coat was fully dry before swatching the rest, and that seemed to make a difference. So the pooling could be user error!
Wendy
Wendy is a pink creme with a hint of coral. Peachy/orangey/coral-y shades are having a moment, and this fits right in. It was great in two coats, good formula. I kept thinking of candy as I looked at it on my nails, but I can’t think of why! It just looks…juicy!
Rocha
Rocha is a sweet, vibrant red creme. Sometimes I see it with an orange undertone. It was easy to apply and went on opaque in two coats, although it was almost opaque in one.
The Zoya Tickled Collection is available on Zoya.com, and retails for $54 for the set, or $9 individually.
Do any of these colors remind you of things you like to do in summer, like they reminded me?! I’d love to hear about it – and which ones you love – in the comments!
