Spring is in the air…and on my nails!

Disclaimer: All purchased by me.

I haven’t been doing too much nail art recently, even though I have ideas. Finding time to execute the ideas is my problem!

But I have been changing my polish and trying different color schemes and looks for spring, as often as I can, and I thought I’d share a few of my recent spring nail of the day (NOTD) looks with you!

This is KB Shimmer Chick Me Out and Prism Break. I reviewed some of the cremes in KB Shimmer’s spring collection here, and glitters here. While I received press samples from the collection, I was eager to get my paws on a handful of others from the collection, and ordered Belle of the Mall, Daisy About You, and these two polishes – Chick Me Out (yellow creme) and Prism Break (holo top coat). For this mani I used two coats of Chick Me Out, with two coats of Prism Break. I LOVED my nails, and I loved having such a vibrant yellow holo! Such a happy manicure.

I am feeling coral this spring. I haven’t picked up a Deborah Lippmann polish in a long while, but I couldn’t resist Tip Toe Through the Tulips, shown here in two coats. I used  two coats of Milani Cosmetics Sugar Rush as an accent nail. Sugar Rush is packed with hex white, green and coral matte glitters, as well as hex holo glitters. Another light, breezy mani for spring!

For shame, I’ve had Picture Polish Majesty by Sahrish Adeel in my untrieds for way too long. I knew this polish was a duochrome, a beautiful pink and golden shimmer, but if you look closer, it looks glass-flecked, and in the sun, I discovered it has holo in it, as well! This polish simply amazed me. I used three coats for opacity, and to up the amp of the shimmer. I paired it with an accent of China Glaze Sand Dolla Make You Holla, two coats, and I kept this mani on for three days. I didn’t want to take it off!

I received so many compliments on this mani, it was crazy. Someone at my weight loss center even wrote down the name of the website, and the name of the polish, to check it out later! It’s another one I wore for three days, and with no chipping, either, until the third day (on two nails only, minor at the tip)! Meet: Ellagee Dolphins of the Caribbean! It’s not necessarily a spring polish, but it made me feel like I had a tropical vacation on my nails, it is holo dolphins swimming in clear turquoise (jelly) waters on my nails, surrounded by holo glitter. It fits with the warming weather we’re having! I wore it in three coats.

So that’s a sample of what’s been on my nails this spring. What about you? What’s been some of your favorite polishes or manis that you’ve worn this spring so far?! I’d love to hear!
