Serenity + Scott Beauty Multi-Dimensional Mascara Review and Swatches 2014

I left IMATS NYC with two new mascaras. I reviewed one a couple weeks ago, and after a week of wear-testing the second, I’m ready to share my thoughts on the Serenity + Scott Multi-Dimensional Mascara in Coal!

Serenity + Scott also offered me a Mini Lash Fan Brush from their brush collection with my purchase, as well, and told me that it’s great to get mascara in hard-to-reach places on the lashes, like to accent the very tips, and place product at the very root, as well.

Check out the brush on the mascara:

It’s a pretty standard brush head, and draws a good amount of product on it.

So how did it work? Well, here’s a comparison photo of my naked lashes, first!

I used it several times so I’ve got a few eye look photos to share! But here’s the first day I wore it:

I was pretty happy with the ease of application, and the look.

Here are a few other looks, to show you the consistency of the product.

This mascara definitely gave my lashes volume, and length! And I used the Mini Lash Fan Brush to get to the very tips of my lashes, although I admit, I didn’t use it every time I used the mascara, because I was happy with the performance of the mascara brush. I tried using it at my lash roots but I got mascara all over my eyeliner. Something I’ll have to practice at!

The Multi-Dimensional Mascara wore great throughout the day and didn’t irritate my sensitive, contact-wearing eyes. I received the raccoon eye look once, at the end of the day, immediately under my lower lash line. But the day I had it, I used a lot of contact rewetting drops, and also removed all of my eye shadow because it was crappy eye pencils that creased (that would be the next to last look). So I was constantly disturbing my eyes by touching them!

The Mini Lash Fan brush, by the way, is vegan and cruelty-free according to the brand website. It is made from circular-cut Japanese synthetic fiber.

Multi-Dimensional Mascara retails for $16 on the brand website here. The Mini Lash Fan Brush retails for $12 and can be found here on the brand website.

So what do you think about this mascara? Do you use a mini fan brush to help your mascara application? I’d love to hear your thoughts!
